The newly designed/copied design of the McBom F1 McLaren has been tried and for the first time was in view of the camera's
there were more chaps armed with fireexstingersjers??? than mechanics that knew what they were doing.
Norbert Haug was told to drive behind the car in the warmuplap as there was a good chance he could enhale the fumes of another McBom going up in flames and smoke.
It never came to it as the "Fernault" bodied contraption could only maker it out of the garage before gave the ghost.
JPM was seen ripping his hair out , kimmy was in meltingmode, and David was dropping his chin.
We NEED McLaren to come good again, so I can riducule them without feeling sorry for them in a sporting way
Great to see the BAR HONDA and the Gallic stormer taking the fight up to the best team bar none:cool:
Not even Micheal Schumacher could make this excuse of a racecar a winner. poor Kimmy, he needs a cool new ride.

We need McLaren to come good so they stay ahead of Jaguar in the constructors championship to get Webber out of his poxy contract.
I think they need to improve or Kimi might be on the move as well.

I can't see how only chassis and aerodynamic changes are going to help Mclaren. The races i have been watching....when they exit......have been from mechanical failure.
A i understand it the same mechanical package is going into the 'new' car (MP4-19B). Mclaren need to get some reliability back into their mechanical package as even the slipperiest?? chassis in the wind tunnel won't go very far without a decent donk/gearbox...
Is it a case of fixing the wrong bits??
I just hope Mclaren become more competitive....very quickly!!
Cheers,
Timbo.

Wayno,
Where will Weber go?
Renault "own" him but theres no seat at Renault at the moment. There's no way Trulli or Alonso are going. Frank Williams sure isn't going to pay out the Jaguar contract. It really leaves Webber in a pretty difficult place. There were rumours of a move to Toyota, but would be suicide.

I've been putting the latest updates on the Williams in turmoil thread. The Renault thing is not dead yet as Trulli is out of contract with both Briatores management team and Renault at the end of this year.
Briatore has admitted Toyota have spoken to him about Mark, but the move would not be a good one. The only thing Toyota have over Jaguar is a bigger budget and a much higher commitment.
I think the market will all start to fall into place come the end of June, as that is when the performance clause in Jaguars contract can be invoked to get Mark out of the place.
Once we find out where Mark is going (I'm still betting on Williams) then the rest of the seats will all fall into place.

Just been reading that it now looks like the new McLaren will debut in France. The drivers seem to be quite impressed by it and judging by their comments would like to see it race sooner. Coulthard has stated they have nothing to lose by racing the new car as the team is realistically out of championship contention.
I tend to agree. The MP 4/19 has been a dud from the minute it turned a wheel and the team couldn't do any worse by running the new car, no matter how untried it is.

Most of the drivers deals are done in the Monaco GP time, the overall picture is alrteady transparent, and the fighting over the $ involved is taking place.
It is an armwresle to see how much Flav/Mark are extracting from the meanest spender in the buissnes, Frank, a top pairing indeed.
Frank is in the corner, as he HAS TO come up with a suitable driverpair, to keep his engine/sponsordeal intact.
Not only is he handicapped and wheelchair bound, but also fighting with an arm tied behind his back due to the bailing of his current mob, he is so to speak on the back foot:cool:
He has been in different possies, Mansell, Damon Hill, and somehow it always evens out. :D
Frank is on the "nose" ,if you pardon the pun.

Yeah I think that's the main reason for Flav pushing the Trulli is not safe line. Sending Mark to Toyota would be like shooting him in the head career wise.
Williams is the safe bet. I'm not a fan of 'cranky Franky' and hope they screw him for heaps.

There are some other saucy rumours running arround;
One is that Jack Villeneuve is playing the FERRARI card.
his father was 33 when it started, he is of similar age.
Some of the obstacles have moved on and his outbursts of the past might be overlooked.
Secondly, the owner of Red Bull is trying to purchase the Jaguar outfit including Cosworth:eek:
and run the team as a USA team!!
What will this mean for the 2 other FORD powered teams ,Jordan& Minardi
Some very drastic playcards are being flashed arround!
