Hi Inter,no it's not on PS2 this is an the best racing game I have ever played on my mates hyperstimulater it's so real and I believe a lot of the V8 guys are using this game for training I think it was Russell Ingall who said it was like driving a V8 Supercar in the wet, you would have to drive it on throttle and yes it's very touchy.
I have it for my computer but I can not get it to run on XP, I have look on the net for a patch but with no success I have another mate who's computer guru and is trying to get it going run for me, since I have played it on windows98 a couple of years ago it has a few Aust tracks added to it Bathurst,Lakside,Aedlaide.
This game was developed by John Crooke who was co driver with Peter McLeod in 1987 Bathurst before Brockie and David Parsons took over the car which of course ened up being the winner so the guy knew how to make as real as possible the first time I had a go at it I drove it for 4 hours that's how good it is sorry for going on a bit but it just blew me away.

I have heard about this game and think I might have to get it. Is it readily available and how do I go about getting it?

Pick up an older computer with Windfows 98 on it and dedicate this to playing this simulation plus Grand prix 2.

Wayno, I bought it from Harvey Norman about 2 years ago for $20.00 so it's a barging at that price I think it's still about at most computer stores. let me know if you have any trouble getting it i can have a look around for you as I live Brisbane.
FF I think the way I will have to go is add a separate hard drive (extra draw with windows 98 operating system) and just alternate between the two which is not a bad way to go I think I can pick it up for about $200.00

I got this one too.
I think it was 14.95 at K-Mart, could of even been $9.95.
It wont work on XP.
Actually I have trouble with V8Supercars 2 on the same computer, just freezes evey now and then

I'll ask some questions when I go and get V8 Supercars2 and my steering wheel this week. Have seen this Momo one for just under $200 and it looks the biz!

This is the best thing for gaming, bar none !!!
XP is no good at all for pc games & there are plenty of great games that work with windows 98.
I'm still playing ICR2 as it's one of fav all time car games, if only for the many different tracks you get to drive & how there seems to be more passing than in the modern day F1 games.
The many Nascars games a great as well, but the lack of right hand bends can make the game a bit boring, but by the same token, there is nothing quite like racing door handle to door handle at 200mph+
I do love GPL & since I got the Bathurst track patch, it the only place I race - I can only imagine how scary the 3rd hump would have been in a real race car in it's day, as it's pretty hairy in the game.
cheers. :D

No I havent run it, these guys are saying to down load a patch which I was doing just now until it crashed, I was going to try it on the weekend.
Since it is only Monday, I hope some one can point out how to get it to work on XP by Friday so I can play away on the weekend.
Do you need to download all those patches??
Where do the extra tracks come from??
I really want Bathurst, but i cant remeber if that was already on there!
With my XP i know i tried when i first updated the computer Im sure it used to pause all the time, just sort of freeze!!

I'm sure whoever unlocks the mysteries of this will have the thanks of a lot of other guys on the forum!
GPL track database (http://trackdb.d2g.com/index.asp?Result=Full&Directory=charad70)
there should be more than enough tracks for a while
just reading there is a 2004 version on the way here (http://www.bhmotorsports.com/GPL/downloads/619)
