Petter SOLBERG finished in 1st place, ahead of LOEB and ROVANPERA.

However LOEB still holds 1st place in the Drivers Championship on 43 points whilst SOLBERG is in 2nd Place on 38 points. MARTIN is still in 3rd place on 34 points.

In the Constructors its CITROEN in 1st place on 65 points, followed by FORD on 60 points then SUBARU on 50 points.

GRONHOLM's season appears to be falling apart........

Cheers,

Timbo.

I think the recent exclusion for Gronholm was the straw that broke the camels back. Marcus is blindingly quick, but I feel he is a bit suspect under pressure and prone to make mistakes a la McCrae.
Loeb is doing a wonderful job and is in the box seat, but, five points is nothing in the WRC. I think the title will hinge on the result of the tarmac rallies. The Subaru has to improve it's speed in general off dirt to give Petter a good shot at it.

With the unfortunate news that Richard Burns won't return to rallying and Mikko Hirrovan not getting spectacular results, bring back Britans rally hero, Colin Mcrae in a Subby for WRC 2005!!!
Also well done Peter Solberg in Greece.

McRae is quick but he's not championship material. I'd rather see the team persist with Hirrvonen.
The rumours about Renault planning a WRC assault are also interesting. Three French teams fighting for gallic honour? Boy, that would be one hell of a fight!

SWRT Where did you get this info from? I haven't seen or heard anything for months.

I think I read it a little while ago but not sure where. It seems that Richards illness is quite a bit more serious than first hoped for and it seems he is now involved in the biggest fight of his life. I for one wish him the very best of luck.
