I thought the Qld Falcon teams would dominate in the shootout.
Just goes to show the competition is very close.
You don't have to be based in Qld to be fast around the track;)

Ambrose needs a win again to keep his momentom in the championship. As SBR said,"If we can win a race somewhere its here". But there are alot of fast Holdens there to spoil their party!

This round is going to be a real key to who wins the championship. Marcus I think will win in a canter, with scumbag Ingall not far behind.
Hope I'm wrong, GO HOLDEN!!!!!
Once again, we see Stone brothers vs Holden. The ford teams really need to lift their game, but if they don't i'm not to fussed. ;)
Good to see hrt on the first two rows, will be a start not to miss tomorrow!

Bright had a great Qualifying lap to put him at #1 for Qualifying, just not quick enough for the 1 lapper.
Surprised not to see Johnson Jr and Paul Morris in the top 10 shootout...
GO Bright! Go Holdens... They are on their game that is for sure, especially when the QLD teams test here - wonder what the excuses are...

What the hell has happened to "Murph" I want him to win this year or at least come close!!
Hopefully Skaife can finish this race at the same position if not better then where he started for a change!!!!!
Come on MURPH it's a long race.

What has happened to Murph is his championship is now practically over. Expected win for Marcus and another strong result for Richo.
GRM will be absolutely stoked to have two cars right up there. HRT are treading water waiting for this new car that is coming.
Unlucky for skaife, at least toddler had a half decent result.
I must say though, that was one of the most boring races ive ever watched. The track is miserable. Dissapointing, i say if tracks need to go, this one should be at the top of the list.
Maybe bring back phillip island in place of willowbank?

I went last year and don't think I will be bothering again. The track is just a paperclip in the middle of no-where. It's even too short.

Looks like SBR have really got the Pirtek car singing at the moment with Ingall not to far behind, you could say that HRT's season is just about over and will only be of nuisence value to the other teams.
Murphy may still be in with a shot but will depend on what happens to the top teams in the rest of the series.

I do hope that the car of Murphy was not badly damaged as this is the winning 2003 Bathurst machine.
This one was used in the W.A. round.
How bad is FPV!

I must admit that I'm glad I taped the race as I did fall asleep & miss the last 7 laps of the race. Perhaps if the racing was as exciting as it was in WA then I might have seen the end of the race live.....
cheers. :)

It was quite boring, except for that 1st lap where there was a bit of a tangle with a few cars and then with the sprint to the finish in the last 7 laps after the safety car - thought someone might have had a crack at overtaking but nothing happened...
If Ambrose did not win on the weekend I would have been surprised.
Was ashame to see Murphy and a few others go out in the crash, I wanted to see how far Murphy could get back up there. Although it seemed the KMart cars were off the pace all weekend.
Good job to the top 3 and especially Tander what a great result. I also heard he is off contract this year and is looking at switching to Ford! I wonder if Gary Rogers will flash the cash to keep him there.
Good to see Dumbrell and Longhurst get into the 10.
Also just read this (http://theofficial.v8supercar.bigpond.com/news/la testnews/newsdisplay.asp?gid=11973&ind=M) !!!

Cam,
I think he's looking at both options with Holden and Ford. If he signs with another Holden team thats good but he has'nt ruled out Ford either. Depends on what offers he gets. I think Garry Rogers has told Garth to test the field and see what he can get.

Damian - yeah sorry forgot to add that he is also looking at other Holden teams ;)
Also I wonder what Lowndes is going to do - isn't he suppose to make a decision soon... Another DNF isn't a good sign for FPR and Lowndes so maybe back to Holden - who knows???

I agree Cameron about Lowndes. He's got to have some luck soon. I don't know who's dog he has kicked or who's cat he has run over because it sure has put one big curse over him.

Tander would do well to find a new team... I think he has overstayed his welcome at GRM and is doing about as well as he is going to with that team..
and Lowndes sure needs a move.... FPR just arent deliverin the goods.... time to get a good driver back into a good driver that can finish some races.

Malik,
Maybe Tander & Lowndes should do a swap!!!:D . The unfortunate thing is that Craig is still contracted to Ford for another 2 years.:(

Could do Damian.. but then Tander would be going backwards.. I mean from a team that can finish races to one that cant build an engine..
and Lowndes would just go to another ford team... anything has to be an improvement....

My mail is that Lowndes is going to move to SBR and Ingall will move to another Ford team, as the drivers are contracted to Ford as opposed to the individual teams.

I guess I would like to see Graig Lowndes to stay with FPR, as the team is in it's early stagers of development and the old saying goes you can't buy success you need to work at it as a team.
I am knocking lowndes for being frustrated as I believe he's doing the best he can and I am sure FPR are working as hard as anyone, look at SBR they chipped away for the 7 years before winning the championship and HRT it took them 6 years before they won a round back then, the category is ten times harder today
When the going gets tough you hang in there and you hang in as a team because the success is so much sweeter in the long run, like Allan Moffat used to say the Harder you work the luckier you are. and as a Holden fan i was pleased to Glen Seton in the top 10 for a change and good luck to GRM

would be a good move for lowndes to make..
ambrose and lowndes during bathurst would be a difficult combo to beat ....

terrine,
I'm not going to argue with your the info you have, but mine said Lowndes to SBR and Ingall to 888 Racing and that was told to me by a very reliable person that hasn't let me down to date, but thats a long way off we still need to finish this season yet.
