All,
Does anyone have this book? If you do what is it like and how many pages does it contain? I am after a good book on the history of Bathurst and this looks like the only one I can find.
Australia's Greatest Motor Race 1960 to 1999
Motor racing at Mount Panorama from 1960 to 1999. Written by David Greenhalgh, Tom Floyd and Bill Tuckey.
Thanks.

It was put out by Chevron Press and limited to 1500 numbered copies.
It has 496 pages and is "The Bible"
For an outside chance for one, contact Ray Berghouse at advertising@chevron.com.au and he may know if or where there is a copy.

Thanks Admin,
What about this book?
Australia's Greatest Motor Race. The Complete History - Hardie, covers 1960 to 1980? Is it published by the same people and if so then I may as well get the one up to 1999.
Thanks again.

There was also another book brought out about 2years ago which covered the entire history of Bathurst races from 1930's to current day, can't remember who published it but from memory was approx $300.00 retail, this covered easter races & whatever else raced there
Australia's Greatest Motor Race book was produced by Chevron & includes the original 500 mile races held at Philip Island, excellent book & well worth the read, i've got 2copies (willing to sell for the right price}

There are actually three editions of "Australia's Greatest Motor Race"
1ST Edition is Australia's Greatest Motor Race - The Complete History (released around 1980 and covers upto 1980) 2nd hand copies on ebay sell around for $20 -$30) 240pages
2nd Edition 1960-89 (released in 1990, this is harder to get than the 1st edition but I have seen copies around $30) 318pages
The last release is the 1960-1999 and cost $165.00 new from Chevron. I think this is a limited numbered book as mentioned by admin. Dick Johnsons place had one for sale a while back.
Another book called Bathurst - Cradle of Australian Motor Racing (or something like that) and is on ebay for $80.00. This book goes right back to the 1930s to 1973
Don't forget Chevron have released an annual publication each year from 1980 on the 'Great Race' (2001 is the 21st volume)
