Asking all you guys out there who've purchased CCs FPV sedans or utes, for some insight. Waiting for Biante's releases as the price is tempting. Seen pics of the CC FPVs and they look great, however the paint looks too glossy for my taste. However, they have the name of the car on the front and rear plates, which look pleasing. As some of you have witnessed both brands first hand (or in Biante's case, the prototypes) are they comparable or preferable over one another?

G'day, I've been wonderig the same thing myself every time I go up to Coffey Ford.

The only thing (other than the dearer price) that puts me off the CC 1:18's is that the front turn indicators appear to be on, but none of the others are (side & rear indicators), so from that point I think they look a little tacky.

Otherwise they the look great, but for me for this reason only, I'll be waiting for the Biante one's.

cheers. :)

I saw the Biante prototypes today and they look fantastic. Really very bloody good.
I haven't had a real good look at CC's versions so can't compare.

I'll be going for both bainte and CC :). Theres small differences in the two diff manufacturers that i like and dislike. EG the indicators put me off slightly on CC's FPV GT and Pursuit Ute and the flimsy bonnet and rear cover struts on the biantes. I do really like the kinda snap shut feel to CC's doors and there strong hinges.

But as I said b4 ill be picking and choosing from both

Viggin,

I bought the Citric Acid FPV GT put out by CC and it is unbelievable. The engine bay is almost real. It even has the coolant resevoir filled. EVerything in the inside slides and folds. The rear carpet mat, the board over the spare tyre and the spare all come out. The suspension works too!

The downside most definitely is the dodgy front indicators. But I have learnt to live with them. I prefer the way Biante have designed their front lights.

I haven't found the paint to look any different to the real car. I even did a drive by to Bryan Bryt Ford the day I picked up the model to do a quick comparo between the 1:18 and a 1:1 Citric Acid XR.

In any case, you will have to buy both Biante and CC to get the full complement of FPV releases and colours.

And on the issue of price, the car is cheap considering the limited run. I paid 145 for mine. It is still available at that price and I have seen cheaper ones on ebay.

I dont care which company makes it as long as I can get a Lightning Strike with Orange stripes and I'll live with either makers faults on it.
