Saw one once, $450 dollars a piece 1:24 scale.
Can't wait til Biante do the 1985 winner and the 1984 start line crash car.

A 1/18 scale model of the 85 winner is a huge gap in the collection. I would love to see a model of this car as it was an awesome machine.

Love the sound of them, they sound awesome. What kind of motor did they have in them?
With the rules on the V8 Commodores having to be heavy for Group A, wouldn't the Jags be super heavy.

I'm going completely on memory here, but..... Group A went on Engine Capacity vs Car Weight. Which is why Holden REDUCED the 308 to 304 ci. This brought it down below 5 litres & thus reduced the total Vehicle Weight. I can't remember if this was done before or after Bathurst '85, though. The Jags ran a 5.3 litre V12 & were heavier than the Commodes but were quicker anyhow & ultimately more reliable. Damn those timing chains.

I have built a 1/24th scale model of the 85 Bathurst Winner from a Hasegawa kit.
The kit is very detailed with metal bonnet clips and full detail of both engine and underbody.
Here is what the finished car looks like;)

Wayno - there is a huge gap from the 80s. The only winners we have are the 81, 88 and 89 winners. Not including the Sierras the only cars I have from the 80s are the ones from the Dick Johnson collection (XD, XE). Can't wait for the VB, VH, VK, VL and Jag Bathurst Winners 5 of those will be Brock cars and they include Marlboro so I am sure these will spread apart seeing as though they will form part of the Brock collection. Even an RX-7, Mustang, BMW or Nissan will help fill the void waiting for the Bathurst winners from those years. :)
Pedro - great job on the Jaguar!!!

I agree, my diecast diet is sadly lacking in Vitamin 80's and early 90's :D

Nice work Pedro.
I've been looking for that Hasegawa Jaguar kit and the Bathurst conversion decals for years but I have never found one.
I would definitely get an 18th scale one if it was ever released.
