this subject concerns autoart 1969 through 1979 xw,xy,xa,xb,xc, falcons. 1969-79 monaro & toranas. mainly the old race cars. i dont have any actual pictures of these real race cars showing the floor pan of the chassis. heres something that i do to every model i get. i paint the sway bars front suspension, transmission linkage.
tail shaft of transmission, brake or fuel lines if they are there.. the john goss 1973 xa falcon in yellow is a beautifull car. but once you flip it over and look at the bottom of it its all black except for the blue engine. this may be correct for this car i have no idea. but it just detracts from a very nice model. im not picking this one car out. im talking about all of these cars suffer from the same problem.the holden models suffer the worst from a total lack of detail to the chassis. im not planning on selling my cars, but when people come by and look at them setting on there glass shelves i would like them to see a little chassis detailing that stands out. heres a link to show you and example of a painted chassis. this is the bottom of the john goss xa falcon.

do any of you guys paint your cars chassis to stand out also? im not bashing here it really dosent bother me if the chassis get painted or not. i would just like to see a little extra detailing under here like fuel lines, brake lines. then its up to the collector if they want to add paint detailing or not.
