I would like to suggest all forum members to confirm with their Fav suppliers to see if they are on the list and in line to get this issue.
It seems to me a good idea and could prevent a bit of drama at issue time.
Also would say, save up and do try to have the $$ ready and not do it on laybye if you do not want to miss out.
The time allowed could be VERY limited, due to the demand.
There are people going arround doing double and more bookings and the model is a limited issue!!
I would hate to see that so many are losing out again as with the Black XY and do have to pay $illy prices to keep their collection up to date.
I know from the missing decals preorders that the pressure will be on.

ferrari fan - checked your site to see if the A9X marlboro decals are on your order form but they are not on it. How much are they and are you doing water slide or vinyl for this release? Do you have any photos of the decals?
ferrari fan

Goldie, the decals can only be made when the actual model is here in Perth in my hands, as the dimensions on the pre production model vary slightly and are NO good to work from.
So I haven't made them as yet, but all the ground work as far as possible has been done, just the final; check. before they are to be done.
They are going to be done in a vinyll but the latest technology
and the price will be $10 per set.
As soon as they are available they will be on the site.
For people on this site you can if you wish put in your preorder and be assured to be in the very first batch.
The new vynill decals are like a waterslide, with both the advantages of waterslide and vynill and none of the drawbacks.
if there is enough demand for the waterslide, I will do them as well
They do have a clear underlay, cropped to half a mm overlap with the letters printed on top.
The end result is absolutly astounding and the thickness is thinner than the vynill
Just let me know what people want, as the good old vynill will also be available.
There is a lot of work and $$ being committed to these and I will not send out anything other than the very best
Models have come a long way and so has the decal process.

Ferrari Fan - Is there any chance you could make some of the Longhurst Sierra B&H decals with your new improved vinyl technique, or is this too difficult/expensive?
ferrari fan
25-08-2004, 12:35 PM
Yes there is more than a chance, as this is the one we have done practice runs on.
The fact is that I do have still an enormous amount of waterslide decals here and want to get rid of these.
I could send you one of the proofs of the new ones if you wish, just give me your adress and I pop it in the post, when I go back to the decal maker.
regards.

FF, something tells me you have the good oil on when this car is to be released, I have noticed you give us a tip it's not far off the mark.
I have just received a Newsletter from Motor focus and he is hinting it will here in October what do you reckon, if so it should go into Production in the next week or two

I honestly do NOT know when whatever model will be released.
What I am on about is that the forummembers here are making sure that they will get their desired model from their favourite retail outlet.
Due to the expected rush on this particular model ,it is a small price to pay in getting in contact with the retail outlet in Question and to confirm the preorder.
Things chance and to miss out if this is the model that you want will be galling
I was in a retailoutlet the other day and it was obvious that if you not already had Firmly preordered your chance of getting it from there was remote.
Hey Ferrari Fan i took your advice and rushed madly into my Favourite shop but they told me that it was too late they had closed off orders for this model.
Please tell me what should i do now. ??

Just went into my LHS to confirm my order, as I remember being there when a form arrived to confirm numbers. Could have sworn I put my name down, but obviously not.. oh well... will hunt around, it should be on the Biante site for sale anyway. ALso heard 2nd week in October for it! Just hope it doesn't go on sale on the Biante site on the Friday I am at Bathurst

I would imagine (and hope) so, as I wanted to get it through the site to increase my Biante points tally.
I was hoping it might be made available as an advance order, or put in the members only section.
Any thoughts admin?

I hope they let us put in an advance order, but if they do that and guarantee all pre-orders it will push their production numbers up won't it?

Without a doubt these cars 78,79 Bathurst Winners i want the most, can wait

As this model is likely to literally walk out the door, is there a possibility of placing it on the pre order site for members?:)

OK I will be in China on Tuesday next and will get a firm date for delivery.
We have had "a million" orders for this car but will limit it to around 7000-7200, so thats a fair call. Pre order it is.
Soon as I get back on Sept 6 and the Brock Bathurst 2004 cars are off the Advance Order list we will list this model.
By the way, the Watchlist numbers for this car are well in excess of 1000!!!!!
PS. FF......You will make a fortune!

What Trevor means (I assume) is that once the Brock Bathurst cars have been shipped and are no longer in the advanced order section of our order bank we may then list this car for advanced order.
Advanced orders wont be taken for some time so please be patient.

Hi Rich,
From the above posts,
Is Trev back?
If so, when will Brocky A9X be on Advance Order?
PS: Trev didn't mention anything about "Brock Bathurst cars have been shipped"
We, as collectors, are really hangin' out bad for this model....
Please let us 'Advance order it' soon... Give us a date..... :D

Hi Wayne.
No, Trevor is not back.
No, the Brock 2004 cars have not been shipped (haven't arrived either).
At the earliest, we wont have the 1978 cars on advanced order until the 2004 cars have been shipped. Watch future newsletters to be kept up to date with advanced order status.

Just be aware that now the production run has started, the total produced also has been set and NO MORE will be made, that is the reason that I at the beginning of this tread said check your order"!
The model WILL sell out in a very short time for sure even on this website.
So if you do not have as yet got a firm order ,watch the side
Please ; Do NOT ask for the total # as this will not be made public as yet, I am sure.
It does not matter anyway !

"Orders for this model cannot be combined with any other advance order. "
This is from the newsletter that I just received. Does this mean that if we have the brock/plato car on advance order we can't get the a9x on advance order?
Or does it just mean that they can't send them together?
I hope its the latter:confused:

And it sounds as though a lot of us will have the A9X waiting for us when we return from Bathurst, especially if it's due first week in October :D

These people are just out to make a fast buck.
Problem is you can not seperate the collectors out from the profiteers when the model is ordered.

I know it doesn't help your situation, but I'm happy with the current timing, as it means I can (hopefully) jump on during my lunch-break and put my name down for one.
I guess admin's in a tough situation, as whatever time they nominate for this sort of thing is going to be inconvenient for someone because of differing time-zones, work situations, etc.
Like others have suggested, maybe it's important enough to warrant chucking a good old Aussie sickie for!

How come a lot of you need to order this on the website?
Would it not be a lot easier to go to your retail shop?
I do get mine from Triking and do NOT have to worry about all this timedifferences etc, I do know that my ordered models will be there Full Stop.
For the ones here on the net that live in the bush, I can understand, but for the rest it seems to be to much hassle.
With a model like this ,if there is a way to secure it, and the preorder is the total that is going to be produced plus a small%, then it seems to be wise to PREORDER!when announced.
The preorder time has well and truely expiered.
I must be missing something,somewhere?

FF, its easier for me to read an email at work, jump on line and put in an advance order.
I also know then that it is an absoloute guarantee that I'm going to get one.
I don't really have time to go to a shop and order it and then go and pick it up.

I have had similar experiences DJR Sierra, XE & a couple of the Moffat Cars & Brocks and the retailers said they didn't get their full allotment.
I quizzed them & they said Biante was at fault. Being very upset, I jumped on the phone & spoke to Bev
Bev gave a detailed explanation of the ordering procedure which satisfied me. I was still unhappy at not receiving the models but I now know more about the procedure.
2 of the local Retailers couldn't give a damn about their customers. 1 has said his family owns so much real estate he couldn't care less about my complaint & the other has recently bought the shop so he's out for as much as he can get (He's asked his staff whether I've been a good customer. (As circumstances would have it, I've had to decrease the amount I spend on models & the staff said so) Therefore I don't get the priority 12 years of spending literally 000's of $$$$ at the particular shop.
So, FF I buy from Biante because I'm assured of getting what I've ordered, not told "sorry we didn't get out allotment" or "We've sold out, Sorry"
I'm sick of the retailer attitude to customers

They'd have it all ready to go and when 2pm clicks over, up it'll come.

I hope you are right that they will be in stock at 2pm. I am waiting with the credit card ready. I remember a few weeks ago when the first of the VY Commodores were available. They were still in transit at 2pm and when I looked later at 8pm (Sydney time) they were in stock. I hope this doesn't happen.

I've just been explaining time diffeences to a colleague who also wants the A9X. This intellectual individual (American) was complaining that the Ozzies will get the models first before we (in NZ) have the chance to buy them! Heaven help us
Since I'm a lazy bugger and don't want to look through the whole thread, can someone tell me what the production run is on brockies a9x?

Had a similar arguement with my sister who reckons we(in wa) get 4 hours less to vote for aussie idol, when in actual fact its 2.
She reckons we lose 2 hours at the start and 2 hours at the end.
We can't vote till we've seen the numbers to ring, which is 2 hours after the east sees it.
She also says we lose 2 hours at the end because we have to stop voting at 6:30, and the eastern states get till 8:30(or 6 and 8?? Whatever).
No matter how hard I try she won't have it that we all STOP voting at the exact same time.
Anyway, back on topic, roll on 2pm....I'm keen...
and yes goldie, that new photo looks phantastic, think I'll be sending bert a form though....

The way I read it, because of the meltdown, they are not sure how many were ordered when they closed the orders.
When they sort it out,
if the orders outstrip supply, some orders wont be able to be filled, if orders dont outstrip supply, those models will go back on site tomorrow.

Because in a meltdown, you cant tell how many orders actually came thruogh.
As it repairs itself, it will let accepted orders through.
If it counts down to Zero...there wont be any to put back on the site.
If doesnt count down to Zero, but say 12, then we will put the 12 back on.
Because some people faxed orders when they couldnt get through the site, we need to check ALL orders if it exceeds our allotment and reject the last ones that came in.
Like we said, a list will go back on the site tomorrow stating who has 'for sure' got the model, just in case the email acknowledgements didnt get through to you.

WOW what a drama has been unfolding, I'm just extremely grateful that I obtain my models from the same shop as FF so that I know that mine will be posted out as soon as it arrives, thanks to Garry and Geoff.
Hate to upset some of you guys but I hooked up at 4.14pmEST, got straight through and only got held up a couple of times at step 3. For those that might have missed out, I'll check my local stockist and see if all of his order hasn't been taken and let you know. He does have a couple of other Brock models on hand, so you never know.

Im on broadband and got held up on step 3 about 4 times. I only tried refreshing a few times each time before starting again... Took me ages, I was waiting online as 2 o'clock ticked over and flew to step 3 then, POW, same dramas as most others..

ADSL / Dial-up Biante HQ or a lap top in the middle of the dessert will not have made a difference. As stated the server couldn't handle the load and kept shutting down so no matter how fast your internet is if the server can't handle the load and isn't up its not going to work.

Sounds like we have all had the same sort of problems, luckily im on holidays and planned today around sitting at the old pc aroun 3:45 to make sure i was ready for when trev or richard hit that release button and all hell break loose.
Must say im glad im on holidays would have hated trying to do it at work as there were a few expictive deletives said infront of the old pc when i had to retry and get it all done.
After missing out on the historic falcon and djr sierra this is one i wasnt going to miss.

Seem's like it was very busy around here today, LOL.
I got on about 5:45pm, that was the earliest I could get on someone's a computer at work "without getting in trouble", and it seems the dust was just settling after the mad rush. I sort of knew it would be out of stock, But yar cant kill that hope:D
I have read about there "might" be some for advance order tomorrow oh today well its after midnight, hope there is, will wait and see.
So I thought would try some shop's to see if I can get one on pre-order, no luck Yet, I will get one from some where I know, but was sad to see a few gameworld order listing's, and most of the names had X2 next to them, Hope not many of us have to buy some ones X2 Brock at a higher price.
Have to say the Photo is a ripper, I would love a larger Photo as it would make an awesome desktop background.
Cheers

Went to my local Lions Den Mt.druitt at 600pm Thursday, told them about the problems encounted trying to order. He said I should not had bothered as they have plenty coming in and not many have placed orders. So I placed an order for an extra model with them.

Yep, I got my Sandman Van through Lions Den in Parramatta, after it was released and all the panic was going on. Rang them on the off chance, they had quite a few in stock, so they put one away for me to pick up the following week.
They will also let you pre order models as well.
Probably should have done that this time, but hey you can't beat the adrenlene rush of ordering on line !! :D

Can you beleive that some web sites are already charging $205.00 for a PRE ORDER!!!! These types of businesses are putting the love of model collecting beyond most people doing things like this.
Which sites are trying to sell it for 205? I'll make sure I never buy from them.

Raceplace in Seaford in Victoria have them for $205, then I think there's $20 delivery on top of that

Surprise surprise. It's raceplace.com. They were my first guess. Whoever keeps a detailed inventory of their models for insurance purposes should always use raceplace for their valuations. I always go out there to have a chuckle.
This, however, really ticks me off. It's too bad that the deisre for this model will cause some people to bite the bullet and buy from this site, anyway. They deserve to get shafted.

Will it be posted here on the forum, or on the website itself?

I was like most everyone else and on line at the stat of play awaiting the starting gun.
I have only once previously ordered direct from Biante, always go through my local shop so I'm not the quickest on the pre order site.
First of all could't get past the first sceen, kept telling me that I had another car in the cart. Finally cancelled that other order but lost about eight minutes then, that's when I everything started to crash could not even get past page two or then back into the Biante site.
Daughter kept saying that's because we only have dialup and the guys with broadband will kick your butt ( I pay for her to study IT at Uni to be told that).
Anyway I got p***ed off went and check out ebay for a while and came back to the Biante site after about 30 minutes, and somehow my order page was still open and I was on page 2 " Got nothing to loose I'll complete the order " 10 minutes late I get a confirmation email from Biante saying I've got one - wahooooo.
Then I read the note from Admin saying that not all is guaranteed and wait until the confirmation list is displayed. Got home from work today first thing check Biante forum find the list and I'm on there, number 34368 I won't forget that number.
Also checked with my local shop about the my order there and was told no problem all their customers orders will be meet. So it looks like I am going to have two of these suckers, one will make a great xmas pressy for my son.
Cheers

Just a guess and not commenting on it being right or wrong but the names may well be just an identifier while the true means of identifying multiple orders could well come down to the credit card details, food for thought !

Zorak,
You will notice that my name appears twice, that is correct.
That list is created from the mailing address and not the collector's name.
I ordered one for me and my son ordered one for himself, BUT they are both being sent to my workplace, because nobody is at home during the day. That may explain why others have duplicates as well.

Given how quick the '78 A9X sold out on Advance Order....what will happen to the '79 when it comes along!!!
Then again which will be of more value to the collector the '78 or '79??? Tuff question considering what happened to the Big Green XE's don't you think...hmmm and more importantly look at the DJR Seirra...
Don't you just love it!!! :D
DID YOU MISS OUT????????
I spoke with my local supplier this morning and they have 4 A9X's that have not been ordered. If you would like one send us an email and I will forward details

Thanks GSXR1
I did not see the list.
I received an email confirming my order, only to find out yesterday, that due to the server overload problems that occured on the day the advance orders were open, I did not actually get an order. Even though everything seemed to go through ok.

Admin posted a list to let everyone know the state of play after the server meltdown. Who got their order accepted etc.
Then as I understand it, someone complained about their details being made public and a Breach of Privacy, therefore, the list was removed. Feel Free to correct me if I've got it wrong. :)

[B]Goldie, the decals can only be made when the actual model is here in Perth in my hands, as the dimensions on the pre production model vary slightly and are NO good to work from.
The waterslides that have been ordered will go out this comingMonday Night!
The vinyll ones will take a few day's longer,

Let us know how you go.
If they do NOT have the propper, exact cutouts then it will be a mission to apply them nicely, sadly.
The ones on Ebay already, are "generic" ,and looking not to size at all.
