I was flicking through the latest issue of AMC when I noticed that there are 2 ads (for lack of a better description) for Leo Geoghegan’s 1972 Bathurst Charger. One (around pg 20) was the 1:24 version by Trax and the other (around pg 121?) was the 1:18 version by Classic Carlectables.

This caused me to jump between the 2 pages and compare each version when I noticed that there was a red anyhow*… decal above the LEO on the Trax car.

As many of us would know for many years ‘anyhow have a Winfield’ was an advertising campaign for the tobacco company.

Wouldn’t this decal fit within the tobacco law issue?

Does anyone have any info or feedback on this?

Please note: This is not an attempt to have a go at CC or Trax for including or excluding decals. Just curious to know how (if they did) they got around the tobacco issue.

I contacted Classics on this matter and they said when they were producing this model there was all sorts of things going on with the tobacco laws so they decided it would be easier to leave it off. Personally i dont see it has a big thing. Im sure someone will make the decal

I have got #1 and ordered #2,3and4 now all I need is the #5 issue with all the saucy details of the Phase4 in it to be FULLY up to date with this amazing magazine, it should come out as it is every day as far as I am concerned:cool:
I stupidly did not spot it till the #6 with the COBRA on the front and a pic of your car in it as well.
I blame it on old age.

Phase4 rules never mind phase5.
