Yes they were released by Biante back in February.

this was taken straight from the Biante FAQ (http://www.biante.com.au/faqs.cfm?mode=category&FAQCategory=Product%20Information#FAQ57) section on the released cars....

February 2004. 1:43. Ford BA Falcon V8 Supercar 2003. DJR - Steven Johnson. In window faced Biante Box. Limited to 2000 individually numbered pieces. B430702B
February 2004. 1:43. Ford BA Falcon V8 Supercar 2003. DJR - Max Wilson. In window faced Biante Box. Limited to 2000 individually numbered pieces. B430702A

I might also add that these are the ONLY 1:43 release of the 2003 DJR cars.

I don't think you're very funny at all.

If you were to look at the time & results sheets from the 2004 season you would see the following.
Round 1 Adelaide
Qual - 15th +0.8092s / Race - 20th (involved in the Dumbrell / McConville crash) & DNF
Round 2 Eastern Creek
Qual - 27th +1.83s / Race - 6th in the wet !!!
Round 3 NZ Pukekohe
Qual - 12th +0.58s / Race - 13th, 8th, 8th
Round 4 Hidden Valley
Qual - 19th +0.69s / Race - DNF, 19th, 11th
Round 5 Barbagallo
Qual - 20th +0.83s / Race - 13th, 10th, 11th
Round 6 Qld Raceway
Qual 18 +0.65s / Race - 24th (involved in 1st corner crash)
Round 7 Winton
Qual - 8th +1.3s (wet shoot out) / Race - DNF (did however lead the race on merrit)
Round 8 Oran Park
Qual - 17th +0.63s / Race - 32nd (mechanical failure), 17th

As you can see, Jr has been very close to the pace of the pole sitter, but just a little bit away & it's only the fact that the racing is so close that we see him ending up where he is.

I'm sure you would be able to recall that it was not too long ago where we used to see .05s between 1st & 2nd yet in some cases Jr has been under 1sec off the pole time, but so far down the grid.

Does this mean he can't drive, well I don't think so.

DJR (like a lot of other teams) are extreamly close to the front of the grid in terms of lap speed. When there are so many cars that are so even in their performance, it is easy to look at the results & blame the driver. If you look at the time sheets, you'll see just how close the whole field is.

I might also add that a lot of the time this year, Jr (can't speak for Luffy as it's his 1st season) has had quite a lot of the better driver behind him as well.

cheers. :)
