Thought it would be interesting to see what the preferred car make is among us forumers. I wanted to start a poll but it seems there's only a maximum for ten options.
Just one word or a couple of sentences will do and we'll see which ones come up the most as the list goes on. No doubt which two will surface the most! Feel free to add more than one as I'm sure we have a soft spot for many makes! NO Holden/Ford bashing please.
All Holdens and the BA series Fords - I Just like the look of them. Unusual combination I know but I'll always be a Holden man.

Porsche, but only the competition cars or road-going versions of them, not the yuppy toys!

umm yeah, Holden for as long as I can remember
My parents owned a commodore when I was born which they had to sell for the much needed money, and in my first few years on earth we had a mitsubishi sigma, but for as long as i can remember we've always had at least 1 commodore, at one stage we had 2 which i think adds to my preference
I'm not much of a Porche or Ferarri person, I think more because their the sort of car thats out of my reach financially, and although the V8 Supercars are almost nothing close to the road versions at least i know I can afford an SS (which is supposidly what the Supercars based on) or at worse a base model executive

Gee, when you've owned everything from an 800 cc LJ80 Suzuki to a 307 Chevota it's a difficult question. I'll do it this way.
Small Car: Mini Clubman.
Medium Car: Mk II Cortina.
4WD: Suzuki Sierra LWB.
Large Car: Falcon (any Falcon).
Van: '89 Toyota Hiace SWB.

initially grew up with Holden till the very early nineties when dad converted to Volvo. It was a burgundy 244 GL and a damn ugly, boring car as I reminisce. Second a 940 GL and currently an 850 SE. Holden to Volvo? Well I've never really asked him why. I guess years of driving reliable Volvo trucks sparked some interest, and it's stuck ever since. And the cliche safety thing thrown in too I suppose. Sadly, from a self image point of view, I've caught the fever. I guess learning to drive in a Volvo and growing up with them, it was to meant to be. Stuck my nose up at Ford and Holden drivers for a while when on my Ps, as I felt they were targeting me on the roads lol. I forgive them now of course since I started collecting these very models. But seriously, don't bag em till you have a go. There certainly is some power in those four & five cyl. engines! I'm sure Brocky and Richards would attest to this :D
Otherwise, Holden, Audi and Subaru with Maserati thrown in for some exotic mix.
Dad saw my VL Walkinshaw - he loves it, so the Holden's still in him :D.

Been a Holden man my whole life. My dad had a HT Monaro when I was a little kid which he sold when my brother came along as it was no longer practical  .
I'd also have to say HT Monaro, and any Commodore. Every single commodore model looks great, still today. I also like the BA falcon, however most of the other falcons are rather ugly.

yeah, abosolutely love the old Holdens, drive an LC torana, would really love a HT monaro in that burgandy colour mmm.. new falcons and commodores are all the same, probably prefer an XR8 actually, but like the HSV's...
other than that: really would like a Morgan Aero 8: look it up, its a beautiful car, or a Bentley Continental T
Here's a list of favourite marques I saw in the Melbourne Age from a growing minority in our community.
Buggar....it looks like I'll have to give my Orange CV8 to the wife now.

Just kidding although I do have a BTTF model.

I think my signature says everything I need to say.
It has to be Godzilla, and after driving one, I know that the legend is real, and not just a myth. They really do hammer.
I urge everyone at one time in their lives to drive one, and hear and feel the sound of two turbos spooling up, the growl of a race-bred 2.6 litre straight 6 thundering to 8500rpm, and feel the thrust of four wheel drive bite into the tarmac. It's brutal but its effective.
Otherwise, I do like the STi Subaru range, the Lancer Evos, Honda NSX etc, plus I think that the Porsche 911 is just stunning too, especially in its 993 incarnation.
I had a drive of the current/just superceded M5 (400bhp V8), and well, what can you say? Nearly $200,000 worth brand new, and the owner sitting next to me. Talk about nerves, but it was still an amazing experience. BMW's M Division know how to build cars...
In my ideal world, I would have a GT-R, and M3/M5, and a 993 Porsche 911 in the garage.

My perfect Sunday cruiser would be a Porsche 911 1964. Just love the original shape.
Porsche race cars from the 917, 956 and the Dauer 962. Any GT3's and GT2's out of the Techart Establishment.
Lister race cars.
I also like the late 60's VW Notchback for some reason. I really dont know why as its a ugly looking car but for some reason it just looks cool:confused:
Best concept car is the Audi RSQ
Toughest work cars that never give and never no problems. Mitsubishi Triton 4X4.
Best Australian car. I have forgotten the name of the company but it shared some info with Holden and it is powered by the Gen3. The company made a version of a Roadster. Can anyone help me with the name?
Biggest lemon Ive owned. VS Maloo. Made the mistake of trading the VR Maloo. But even the VR was starting to have problems.
If I win Lotto, a Audi Allroad will put in the garage.
If I had the room to have a project car then a EK wagon would be the one.

I think you mean the Elfin Clubman with Gen3 in it. Still a concept car at this stage.
1. Engineering, luxury and efficiency - Mercedes Benz
2. Grocery shopping - anything annonomous
3. Eccenctric and way before its time - Citroen 2CV
Fortunate enough to have all parked in the garage. :)

Holden has to be no 1.
Lamborghini comes in 2nd.
Otherwise, I seem to go for individual models rather than brands. If I like a car, I like it - it doesn't matter too to me much what the brand is.
