Has Biante looked into producing the HRT 427, SSX, SST, The HRT Maloo 6.2, or The Monaro Marilyn (Convertable Monaro). If not would you think that they might consider them. :)

CC's bringing out the 2002 427 Bathurst 24 hr car, I dont know if they have the idea for the 2003 24 hr car or even the prototype road version ... it was practically the same car, most potential buyers had plans of putting them on the racetrack!

Steve, I believe the correct answer to the original question is "I would only buy one to set fire to it", isn't it?!

That was never said by me, but I know who did say that.

I know it wasn't you, Steve! I just thought you might have been equally impressed by that answer when it was first asked!

Speaking with one local retailer last week he said he's holding 36 advance orders for the CC Bathurst 427 and its looking to be one of the most sought after releases. This is likely to go just as quick as the Biante Historics Falcon so you'd better get in an order one if you don't want to miss out.

The guy who make that comment did so on the Classic Forum, now I know why he was usthered out the door here quicksmart, but I would like to have words with the guy who directed him over there.

I had thought he was originally from the Classic forum and had visited the Biante forum to stir things up! Wherever he came from he didn't seem to contribute much other than aggravation!

Yeah, he was already over there and came over here to start some trouble which he sure did.

Well he wont be back which can only be good for the rest of us.

Cheers

As far as I know, the HRT 427 had no relationship with the Nations Cup cars!

I hadnt even heard of the HRT 427, only that there was some talk sometime back that GMH might have bought out a road going version of the 427 but it was canned as the cost of producing a very limited run was way to much to be of any benieft to GMH.

classic carlectables is bring the 427 from 2002 24hr and there are plenty of pre orders. i pre ordered mine from garry rodgers motorsport still haven't got it but debitted my card as soon as they got the order. is this correct. and i asked the same question in the classsic carlectables forum but all i got was a smart ass and no real answer. it was a serious question because i think they would be a good by and the utester and sandman have also been done both i have got.

They shouldn't be debiting your account till the product arrives for them to end it to you, what there doing is illegal, how can they sell a product to you they haven't even got yet.

How many "local Retailers" do you have?

How many "local Retailers" do you have?

There's the one I buy most of my models from (Triking), the one I buy some of my models from (Stanbridges) and the one I pop into some lunchtimes (Perth Hobby Centre).......

sphinx84, I did exactly the same thing.

I ordered direct from the GRM website on the 10th of May, as they model I received from them will have the COA signed by the four drivers, which I was happy about

The "not happy" part was having my credit card debited the day after I put the order through.

I emailed them on August 16 to see what was happening and the reply I got was....

Craig,

The Monaro's are still being made and we are hoping that they will be ready for delivery within the next month or so.

We do, however, understand your frustration at having to wait so long but as soon as they arrive we will be sending them out to you as soon as possible.

As far as I recall, it was actually the other way around, the HRT 427 was poking around before the GRM 427 appeared hence the confusion about the Nations Cup cars being derived from the HRT 427. It was going to happen, there was over 50 firm orders (for a build of 50) with no firm price given only that it would be around $200K a pop. I think the price blew out to around $250K which I think was the reason given for pulling the pin!

correct.... the HRT 427 that was planned by HSV was derived FROM the Bathurst 24hr winner from GRM (basically a supercar in street car clothing)

they had it at the Sydney motorshow and apparently recieved a number of orders for it but not enough to justify making it at a $215,000 price tag. so it got canned.
