Just wondering if anyone knows about this model, the size and who made it. Any info would be much appreciated.

This is an ERTL piece. As with almost all other ERTL releases, this "model" is better left at a Toy Store where it belongs. It's quite unbelievable, but I don't see any changes in ERTL models for ten (!) years running. This particular diecast is 1977 "Smokey and the Bandit" Pontica Trans AM. For me, this model doesn't look right. I think that the stance and proportions are off.

It's an Ertl (American Muscle) ... Scale 1:18
Tom @ National Diecasters is a great guy to deal with, but they are cheaper elsewhere...
For a better price, go to www.davezdiecast.com (US$29.99)
or www.wildcollections.com (US$24.99)
