Hi All,

Just wondering if there is any talk on a diecast manufacturer releasing 1:18 V8 Supercar Transport Trucks? I reckon they would sell like hotcakes and they could put any prices they wanted on them as they'd be rather large and look god damn awesome!

Just a thought anyway!

I agree. Transporters would look great.
Set-up at the back of our displays with the team cars infront / along side of them.

They would be very popular any sell themselves easily.

Classic Carlectables released 2 transporters.DJR and FTR 2000 trucks both in a 1/43 size and are planning on some Holden team transporters.
A 1/18 transporter sounds good but would be too bloody big but a HRT or AVESCO B pillar trucks in 1/43 would be good,a 1/43 transporter may sound small but they are BIG.

I thought this topic would of been discussed before but you know the old saying "looking for a needle in a hay stack"? Well that's what it's like trying to find a topic that interests me such as this one.

1:18 transporters would be rather large, yes. But I'm sure adding another shelf would be easy enough or maybe another room on the house would be better! LOL!

You are spot on. 1:18 transporters would be big but they would look great. I would be willing to build on a couple of shelves to display sopme of these.

speaking of trucks, does anyone know where i could possibly get 1:43 transporters, prefferably cheap as i need about 5 or 6, i could make the trailers if i can only get the rigs

it is for a diarama that i am building so they will be getting stripped back and re-painted anyway.

Chups,
I was just surfing http://www.shopmotorsport.com.au (http://www.shopmotorsport.com.au/) and saw they have the FTR Transporter in 1:43 for $35 + Del. This is the direct link to the FTR http://www.shopmotorsport.com.au/shop_detail.asp?p roduct_id=178

Sandman,

PS What are the rules about posting URL's in this forums, if any?

thanks sandman, its a little too high at the moment for my price range, it would work out at about $270 for some plastic trucks that id be painting anyway. theres gotta be some cheap plastic trucks out there, ill try WA Salvage or the $2 shop or something. cheap models may look crappy but they can usually be improved with some extra details glued and painted on.

Here at the moment when you buy a carton of beer you get a 1:35 Merc Beer Truck. It is of matchbox quality but still good.
Everybody likes Beer Trucks so put ya hand up.

I have several 1/43rd F1 transporters and they are great addition too the displays of the 1/43rd cars.

1/18th whilst it would be nice is too large and would cost around $600.00+ retail.

Most of the F1 transporters I have are made by Eligor of France, you can see them at www.eligor.com (http://www.eligor.com) .

The classic ones of the past are not 1/43rd they are 1/64th.

Chups you won't get 1/43rd cheap only 1/64th.

I have asked Eligor to contact HRT about the possiblity of doing the B-Double as they already have the Iveco rig in their line up.

In another thread some months ago Biante hinted that they were going to do something on there own. We asked if it was going to be a true 1/43rd and not the crappy mok ups of the teams liveries on 1/64th scale trucks, although saying that the 1/64th scale trucks with the new Biante Minis may look ok. As long as they are correct (ie rigs).

I would still love to have a 1/43rd V8 Supercar team transporter to gowith my F1 collection.

You can purchase eligor here in OZ most retail for around $220.00
