Do you have the full Bathurst Winners Collection, or do you select the winners that you buy...

Well I am going to select ALL Bathurst Winners, but I am missing the 65E - came into the game a bit late and the price is getting ridiculous! Maybe if I win Powerball I might buy one. Plus I have a code3 of the Wynns commodore from 99 :) Other than Bathurst Winners most of my collection are cars from Bathurst.

I only collect Holden Bathurst winners so there is a lot to collect compared to the other four letter Brand
Guess i will collecting another one from this years race as well

i only started collecting bathurst winners half way through last year, since i was a while behind i started my collection with the tander/bargwanna bathurst winner ( 2000) and from then on.
im looking foward to adding another holden to the collection for 2004.:D

I only collect some Bathurst Winners...when the models talk to me in the shop...

What, don't look at me like that, don't they talk to you?

So far I have 5 winners at home plus the 78 car.

On another note, I have all recently (since 1995) released Bathurst winners in 1:43...

i have all but these the skaife skyline, grice commodore,cc murphy wynns, murphy 2003vy and im not sure if i will pick them up either.
the quality to price ratio dosent equate on these models. i do have the full moffat collection up to date. i like the older late60's through mid 80's cars better than the new breed of v8supercars.
dont get me wrong i do like both holden & ford v8supercars but not as much as the old falcons, chargers, toranas & monaros. it really dosent matter if its a bathurst winner to me. i havent seen a xw-xc falcon i wouldnt pick up regardless of its track record. they just look awesome. the same could be said for toranas, monaros & chargers as well. happy collecting mates.:D

I have 10 Bathurst winners, but most of the rest are on my wishlist, only the Moffat 64E and 65E and the 92 Nissan are beyond reach at the moment...

I'm collecting the Bathurst Winners in 1:64 scale. If that car also happens to come out in the Brock, Johnson or Moffat Collections in 1:18 I'll buy it to keep the theme going for those particular collections. This is the only time I'll double up on cars.

You sound like my mother in law. Whenever she gets a new car, it has to talk to her, or she's not interested.

Unfortunately for her, its always the crap ones that get in her ear!

I'm trying to collect all 1:18 bathurst winners.

I also came in late last year and have renditions of all except 1.

DJR Sierra - cost slightly prolific.

I have customs of the 64e, 65e & 92 skyline and am happy with them.

I would love to collect all of the bathurst winners but as with what most people on here are saying the cost of some particular cars are a little expensive. I have most of them, slowly getting the ones which arent to expensive:D while still getting new releases.

My "theme" is cars I like the look of (!), so not all Bathurst winners get into that category. In fact I only have the Morris L34 from '76, the Grice VL from '90, and now the Brock A9X of '78. I did have the Johnson XD of '81, but sold it to go towards his Red Roo XE, so I'm stuck at 3 Bathurst winners. Apart from the '79 Brock A9X I'm wondering what else I might get.

I have all Bathurst winners as released so far.
And yes i have the 1999 car sitting amongst them.
Shame really hope CC or BIANTE rerelease this car as it does look out of place.
I think it makes a great collection and am hoping all are released.
I have all Bathurst winners released in 1/43 that where made by Dinkum Classics except 1976,1985,1988 & 1994.

Got most of them. Can't bring myself to put the GTR's from 91 and 92 into the collection to name two. The first one a legitimate winner fair enough. But '92 - no way.

I just cannot stand Mark Skaife, and since the introduction of V8Superstars, even less so.
So, I have all Bathurst winners execept his four plus the 1990 VL, which I will add at some point.
Oh, and of course, I didn't bother with the '99 CC effort. Not sure that this counts anyway though.....

I have 19 Bathurst winners in their own cabinet, including the CC's 1967 XR GT and the less than brilliant 1999 Wynns car. Soon to be joined by THE car that everyone wants, Brockies A9X Marlboro HDT, will look awesome with FF's decals applied.

I am flat out with it, but DO have to wait till the actual production model is here to do the final check.
I have got the proofs here and am waiting to lay them on the actual car that you and I ,and it seems a fair few other people, are going to get.
I do not want to get this wrong, and as with the '88 winner it should again be a case of me having them going out before the models hit the shops in the east coast.

Can't say I ever set out to collect all the Bathurst winners - only the race cars that meant something to me at the time. My collection started a few years ago with the Goss XY as I saw this actual car race at Oran Park when I was 7 and never forgot it - loudest thing I'd ever seen/heard! Some of the others that I bought were the Morris/Fitzpatrick L34, DJ's Rock, HDT's '78 05 and Moffat's Federation XC (toughest looking car EVER to grace Mt Panorama - check pages 62/63 of Issue 6 of AMC) - I saw them all in action and they bring back great memories for me hence why I choose a rather ecclectic mix to collect. Others I'll wait for are the Grice Craven Mild A9X, Morris' 'Factory Killer' ATCC A9X, the Morris' XD, the HDT VK, Masterton's XE and any of Wayne Negus drives (I guess looking at that list they were all mainly the underdogs that did well).

Can't say I collect anything Group A as I was bitter Group C was killed off (and I hear some say 'move on' but I never came to grips with those Sierras, Mustings, Vitesses, guardless Commodores, etc. and the alignment with 'the rest of the world' at the time with Group A was an expensive and subsequently futile, exercise - just like Super Tourers - didn't mean a lot to the intended audience eh, CAMS. Duh.).

Can't say I collect any of the current crop of V8 Supercars either irrespective of Bathurst wins (other than those of engineering genius, legend and ever pragmatic, Perkins) - they all look the same! Still watch them race though ...! ;)

Not that I wish to sell any of my cars, but if you had number 1000 of 3000,in one of your Bathurst collection or a number corresponding to the year of the race would it greatly influence the market price of the car?

I just collect the Ford Bathurst winners and although there are less of them than the Lion, I seem to pay just as much overall, as the Fords generally far outweigh the Holdens in market value.Sometimes I am proud of that fact and sometimes I get frustrated.....:(
I collect the Ford ATCC winners as well and some of the other Ford vehicles that I have a real soft spot for.I too was one who did not mean to collect as much and the 65e is the only current missing link to the Bathurst collection for me.I will have one soon though, when I can raise the $800-$900......man and I thought my brother was an addict! :D

I have them all on my shelf except the 1967 XR and the Murphy/Kelly 2003 car which are on layby. Hopefully I will be picking them up next week. Its a great collection and with luck one day it might just be complete.

I lucked into the 64E and 65E, so that was a big help. I have NO interest in the Skylines, unless they fall into my lap.

Well I've only got a part collection of the Bathurst winners mainly because of up until a couple of years ago, I couldn't see the point of having anything that had a red badge :D !!!

However, that doesn't explain why I've got a 28c , but not a 65e in my collection - seems like I've been a bit confused for longer than I want to admit :D

Any how, other than my Dick Johnson Bathurst winners I've managed to find a home for.....
Brock's first Bathurst win
77 Moffat Bond set
1991 Godzilla - only cause it was dam cheap !!!
96 Lowndes & Murph
2003 Greg Murphy Bathurst Jet - I think every Bathurst needs this one, if only because of how dominant Murph was for the weekend

cheers.

Got all the 1:18s released, except for the 1972 Torana. It's too small to pay $300+, plus more than 12000 were made.

The 1998 winner (Stone Brothers Racing FORD EL?) sponsored by Pirtec, was this ever made in a decent way 1/18 scale? Or is it the same as the 1999 winner (very average indeed)

unfortunately I only have 9 of them.Would really like to pick up the 89 dj seirra but with the amount of cars due out this really will have to go on the back burner.I'm lucky enough to already have the really expensive cars.I took a punt and paid 360.00 for a 65e awhile back. That is the most I have paid for any model. It seemed alot at the time but gee I'm glad I'm not a new collector chasing some of these now...:(

Not made in 1:18 by either of the big two (CC's and Biante)...

I think one of the hand-crafted model makers did a rendition...

Gday guys,
I have only recently discovered the already addictive hobby of collecting the biante aussie touring car models. I currently have the bathurst winners in 1:43 scale from 1998-2003.I would like to have a select few 'classics' in 1:18 scale.
I am having a lot of trouble tracking down a 1:18 model of the infamous Brock 1978 A9X Torana.Anyone here got any suggestions?

I don't think classics have made it.

I've got one from Biante that you can have for $800, but I won't be able to get it to you until the end of October/start of November.;)

Just trickin...I think the Biante one is the first one, you just missed out on advance order, and I don't think there will be many in the shops.

If ya see one anywhere, grab it quicksmart cause they won't last long...

See here! (http://forums.biante.com.au/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4696)
