I purchased 2 Yellow Ochre XY GTHO 1:18 Falcons from a model shop in Canada, because they were on special. I recieved the models (here in West Oz), only to find that they had no certificates. Biante say that they have never sent models without certificates, and the people in Canada say that earlier on they never ever received certificates with the models. This leaves me as the man stuck in the middle. Has anyone else had this problem ?. Also, just be wary when buying from overseas that the certificates are with the models. Also.. would anybody have a certificate that they wish to sell. Do Biante make heaps more models, and only issue certificates for the Australian market.
Regards.... Chris

Chris, you will have to check with Biante on this, but I remember late last year that Biante advertised some Yellow Ochre XYGT's on the site at a reduced price due to them not having certificates. I think from memory they were found in China after an audit.

Anyway check with Biante, but I am pretty sure I saw that.

Regards.

That is not correct. We always have 24 cars that we call blanks, that are spares in case any of the Certificated items get damaged or lost in transit to shops or email members.
Under sheer pressure from one distributor, not Canada, we sold a couple of VT Clubsports to him and offered 3 to serious collectors through the site that had missed out.
ALL were told that there was no certificates with the models.
Whatever quantity of Yellow Ochre spares we didn't use for replacements, are still in the warehouse along with a few of every model we have ever made....and NO, you cannot buy them.

Chris,

You are 110% correct!

I just purchased 2 models from the same distributor and got the same response.

"The first lot of Biante models we got didn't have certificates as the certificates were made for Australia only."

I wouldn't have purchased them if it was clearly stated that they were without their certificates.

If this is indeed the truth then Biante should have the certificates still.

If it is not correct, maybe Biante need to investigate to make sure that they are not reproducing these models illegally!

I'm still wondering how this can happen, like I said, Biante say one thing, and the seller in Canada says another. I jus twish I could get a certificate.
