I have read the Forums for 6 months now ( Yes it is 6 months tomorrow since the new site fired up) and everyone seems to have an opinion on how many of each model to make.
So lets have some fun.
A couple of notes:
a) We forecast the quantities for over 50 new 1:18 models per year counting all our Bainte licensed models.
b) EVERY 100 models you make too many cost you $15,000.00 on an average RRP
c) Every 1000 over is a $150,000.00 error.
d) Multiply either b) or c) by 50 and you can see its a costly exercise.
So here's your chance to estimate what quantities you would build for 5 of the 1:18th releases planned shortly.
1. 1983 Bathurst XE Johnson/Bartlett
2. HG Monaro GTS350 in Indy Orange
3. Brock/Baird VX Bathurst 2002
4. BA Falcon XR 8 cylinder sedan Red
5. 1974 XA Bathurst winner Goss/Bartlett.
Keep in mind now, for every car you make that you cant sell you are out of pocket $150.00.
Lets see who is closest to the numbers actually released. Should make interesting reading....and Richard, you can't enter!!
This thread will be monitored to keep input on track.

Ok I will be the goose with no idea but here goes.
If I win do I get a skippy badge? :D
1. 1983 Bathurst XE Johnson/Bartlett - Well we have had one XE another might not be as popular, maybe the same sales as the XC or AU? One for the DJR Collector so count me in. Ummmmmm 5000
2. HG Monaro GTS350 in Indy Orange - Legend car which I feel both Ford and Holden Heads will love and want. Another Track Red, Ultra White Phase 3? Say 8000
3. Brock/Baird VX Bathurst 2002 - The MAN is back for one last Bathurst. Heaps of brock heads out there. It has the be a winner, Have to be around 8000
4. BA Falcon XR sedan Red - New car out and one for Ford fans but I doubt it will be a big seller, Unless you own one. Maybe a simular seller to the 2001 Rat/Jnr 1/18 2500
5. 1974 XA Bathurst winner Goss/Bartlett. - Well it is a bathurst winner but it's not driven by Moffatt or Johnson. It will have interst of a few ford heads but not as big a Dickie or Al's collections. First XA realeased so it could have a little more interest. This is a really wild guess. 4500

Hi, is the BA XR going to be the XR8 as it is different to the XR6
OK Lets say an 8 cylinder. I wont give it it's correct name cause I am not allowed too.
But with it being the first 1:18th modern Fords ever made, who really cares. I want one!!

Well my guess going off Biante past trends, I would say you will make between 5000 - 6000 of each. And in my personal opinion thats too many. We buy the models because we love them and that they are "Limited Editions". HENCE THE WORD COLLECTORS :)

1. 1983 Bathurst XE Johnson/Bartlett (8001)
2. HG Monaro GTS350 in Indy Orange (4500)
3. Brock/Baird VX Bathurst 2002 (8001)
4. BA Falcon XR 8 cylinder sedan Red (3000) Also depends on Fords sales strategy (are they going to give one to each customer with purchase of car) if they are up my quote to (10000) Will have much greater appeal than just collectors
5. 1974 XA Bathurst winner Goss/Bartlett. (5000) Should be less and part of the official Bathurst Collection where each car is limited to (2500) Hint Hint
