Censorship and the Forum

Why have my posts from last night been deleted from the forum in regard to production numbers ? Sure its your site and in your opinion the comments were not related to the thread although I'd be happy to debate that over a beer with you one day.

I thought we lived in Australia not Iraq. If your going to delete collectors comments every time they post something you don't agree with perhaps you should change your User Id from Admin to Saddam !

It is not about censorship or comments that Biante do not agree with. The posts were in a totally unrealted thread which was meant to be a little bit of light hearted fun, it seemed to be getting dragged down hill real fast so all unrelated posts were removed.

How can you say it was unrelated ? The question was 'guess the production numbers' - I was simply making the point that to estimate the production numbers it must be in the overall context of the number of variations to be released in the next 12 months. Sorry if I was analysing the question more than Admin had envisaged.

Thereafter the thread did go downhill a bit but I think you can blame your boss for that. Whatever the justification I still don't believe Admin should be playing big brother and removing peoples comments from the forum except in the obvious instances of swearing, abuse or personal threats.

I agree to a certain extent, there is no consistancy to the editing in these Forums. Your post got deleted because it was in a unrelated thread, but there has been alot of personal attacks in threads that have been aloud to stay there with no consequences. I learnt this first hand when I wote a post in Special Commodores and the reply from a very very junior member was enough to get a MP thrown out of Parliment, but to my horror it was left on the thread and the D**KH**D is still personally attacking me in nearly all the posts he enters. The guy (drof-i-etah) obviously doesn't like Fords, but also myself for liking them. The way he writes I think he is about 13 years old with no maturity and his head up his A***H***!!
Come on Richard and Trevor lets get consistant.

Perhaps you should re-read your post.. You have done exactly that which you are complaining about someone else doing..
I have read every message posted on this board since its' inception, and not once have I read anything personal into the posts by Drof-Etah-I.. In fact, IMO, his posts make much more sense than some of yours do..
It appears to me that you are very thin-skinned.
If you wish to take this as a personal attack so be it.. It is not!
Just my observation..

Thats my whole point Jed, that you can attack someone personally and get away with it, but in Jager's case you put a wrong post in a thread and don't get away with it.
Have you read drof-i-etah post in Special Commodores?, if thats not a personal attack what is. The guy even thought to himself that,that was going to be his first and only post as in the way he signed off, thinking Biante were going to ban him for the rubbish he wrote, and yes I am doing what I am complaining about because Biante are doing nothing to stop this Loud Mouth!!
And to drof-i-etah that quote was in reply to the thread that it was in, nothing to do with any other thread. I suggest you get your hand off yourself and reply to threads in a civil and grown up way. There is more posts to reply to or even start your own threads than answering my posts in the way you are. I am dissapointed that Biante didn't ban you from the site as we can do without your kind of feedback on the Forums.
Maybe it was because I was having a bit of fun at Peter Brock's expense and we all know that Biante and Peter are bossum buddies and they thought I got what I deserved, it seems Biante use editing when it suits them and not when it is needed!!

Let's set the record straight.
You attacked Peter Brock's "Integrity" and got shot down by GTS, V8 and WACPT for your comments.
You then came back with a reply that could only be taken as CRAP. Obviously you couldn't accept the criticism.
So I shot you down. You came back with a comment like "I was only joking!!!" and contradicted yourself by saying
Go Brocky you good thing!!

That is the only time I have had a go at you.
As for the Dairy, I was asking a question. What's wrong with that.

You obviously don't like losing so for your benefit and to stop you crying, I will cease to contribute to this forum.

My apologies to Biante and anyone else who feels I have done something wrong. I don't think I have.

Sorry guys, but all this seems to me like a bunch of 5 year olds arguing about who lost the last lollie.
First of all whatever country this forum originates from, it is a privatly owned medium therefore the owner can do what he/she sees fit. No need for name calling because of exercising this right. Secondly this is not a compulsory forum -you don't have to join to buy Biante's products-. Thirdly in my personal opinion if you don't like something or someone here you have two choices:

1. Bugger off and write elsewhere,
2. Learn to be an adult and live with it without stirring up the pooh.

This is not a personal attack against any particular member here, it is simply my worry that by threads like this all we will achieve is to have the forum shut down because the owners will have enough of the hassle originating from these posts.

On the other hand (speaking from considerable forum posting experience) Admin might want to think of assigning one or two moderator(s) to monitor the language and personal attacks here for the sake of keeping it a family forum.

Just my 2c's.
