what does everyone think of this model.. i looked at it but thought it was a bit of a backyard job the casting finish (paint windows etc) were very poor only $99 but i wasnt prepared to cough up even that much for it.. traffic toys has it on their ebay sight for $89us there only $99 aus in the shops here i suspect more will end up i yankee land than here in aus (they can have em)...

well i don't know about yankee land, but down here in
redneckville we just had to pass on it. i had one preorderd and after i got a hold of some good pics of it i had to cancel my order.
its not up to par with the rpr being asked for it. as much as i want a mad max interceptor this one just doesn't cut the mustard for me. if it were around the 20 to 30 dollar mark it might be worth picking up, but not at 100 plus shipping. i know everyone doesn't see eye to eye on these cars and i can respect that. some collectors are just glad to have one in the collection. i guess i have gotten to spoilt to the high detailed models to pay premium for a low quality model. sorry if i offended anyone, thats just my take on collecting these days. with so many models comming out from so many manufactures its hard to just dish out big bucks for a low quality model when you can turn around and pick up something alot nicer for the same price.;)

Guy's , I think it's only a matter of time before somebody makes a 1/18 of this model in the standard of quality that people are willing to accept , there's too much interest in this car and a hell of a lot of money to be made from this model for somebody not to produce it .
After all this car has such a great following all over the world for a model reproduction not to be a success , so i guess it's just a matter of time and a lot of patience from model collectors who await it's release .

Cheers

Jim .

These do look pretty bad.
The finish is just not good. Maybe it will suit the Road Warrior version better, but in 1/24 scale I will stick to my cavalier kit.
Wait for the 1/18 I say!!!

It looks like it was built by my nine year old.

This subject was covered a couple of months ago. Go back through the pages and read some of the coments from back then. In my opinion, for what its worth , save your money.

Hey Tony -

Count one yankee on the "thanks, but no thanks" list. The pictures killed it for me.

I thought whoever owned the rights to the MM enterprise were being difficult regarding model licensing. If that's the case, why did they allow such an awful representation to be produced when there were any number of companies that could've done a superior job?

Good things come to those who wait .... '99 Bathurst winner, anyone?
