End of an era

First time in 18 years there were no shell cars in a atcc/v8 supercars race.
I for one felt the race was different/a little sad without the shell cars.

I suppose when you put it this way it is a bit sad that the Shell team has gone .
Like few off the long term sponsorships that have been around for a while its a shame to see them go , but i guess things change and its time to move on .
If i remember right the Winfield sponsorship was also around for a while , they did Touring cars , superbikes , Sprintcars , Formula brabham , Top fueler Rails , all at the same time .
I read somewhere that Jim Reed in the Top Fuelers had the record for having the longest single term sponsorship in aust , not sure of the years but think it was longer than 18 yrs .

Shell team just another end of an era :)
