Clubbie , nice photo's there mate , certainly a lot of excellent cars turned up for the event , it would have been nice to be there and see them up close and in person .
Geez , after seeing those great shots of the Goss/Bartlett '74 Bathurst winner I can't wait for the model to be released , hopefully not too far down the track .. well , we can only hope . ;)
Anyhow thanks for sharing those pic's , very nice indeed .. :)
Cheers Jim .

That Morris A9X shot is great. Looks like it was a pretty good day.

The B&H Sierra looks like it could do with some of Ferrari Fans decals. Presumably this is the one from the Bathurst museum, or is it a replica? I note also it has advertising for a diecast website on it. I guess he has reached his target market!

Thanks Guys,
it's a Canon 300D. Was going to buy the new 350D when I ran into someone selling a 300D so they could upgrade to a D1.
Got a 73 - 300 lense but I need a smaller lens to tale grid and pit shots.
The camera certainly has a lot more ability than I have at the moment.

go to the touring car festival album
These are some of the better ones taken by me, using just a cheap digital camera.
The B+H Sierra was nice, but strange was the B+H BMW that had the full livery, including Ferarri Fans decals (if you get my drift), which is acctually the second or 3rd pic in the album
Overall an alright day, we only stayed just over 3 hours, saw some boring racing, but we mainly went for pics and we succeeded so all in all we got what we went for!

Steve & I plus billy lids were there for Saturday practicesessions. Those who took their Cars out gave our kids some evcitement.
A little dissappointing from a numbers point of view, though overall, a thoroughly enjoyable day :)

saturday looks alright, being able to get to the cars in pit lane. On Sunday the cars were being worked on in the pit garage and you could walk up to them, but they werent in pit lane due to racing
Numbers wise - cars a dissapointment. I liked the varied numbers of Toranas and Monaro's, but I was more interested in the racing cars of which there were a handful. As for drivers, what drivers? I saw John Goss and that was it. Heard Firth on the commentaty but that was it
As for visitors not too shabby, it looked about half full in the grandstands and grass areas, although we got there at 10 and left at 1, the cars in the carpark around us had all dissapeared, including those that had got there after us and those that got there only minutes before us and we joined a que of 5 or 6 cars leaving at the same time. Seems once you got some pics that was it

Some good ideas for models there! Modern, crisp focus photos give a much better idea of what the cars look like than the grainy faded shots of yesteryear.

I've just added some photo's of the festival on my webshots page. Spent the full day on Sunday at Oran Park. Was a great day to see these old beasts going around the track. Click on the link below.
