Has anyone had any recent dealings with Pitstop Model Cars :-

http://www.pitstopmodelcars.com.au/index.asp

Last week I ordered several items from them online but despite the order and several emails I still haven't received any reply. Can anyone in Melbourne tell me if they are still operating ?

They sure are still going. I spoke to Mark on Friday. Best bet is to give him a call on 039 743 1100.

Just to raise an old topic, Pitstop Model Cars is closing down next Saturday, so if you're looking for some really good prices on models, get in quick :(

I was in there today, and the "Closing Down" sign painted on the front window was my first clue...

Now a few of us have to find somewhere new to buy our diecast :(

I spoke to Mark this morning. Top bloke and I wish him the best.

Although I live I Sydney, I have been buying from Mark for years and have meet him on several occasions.

I need to find another model shop now myself.

I bye my cars from a great little shop in QLD www.v8racegallery.com.au They are very friendly and helpful. Buy most of my V8's and merchandise from them.

For those that haven't caught the news, Pitstop Model Cars will be re-opening in February. The shop Mark and Trish are currently in is to be renovated, so a move might be on the cards.
All pre-orders that have been taken will be honoured.
I'm sure I echo the sentiments of a lot of other collectors when I say this is great news. They are fantastic people to deal with and I will be glad to continue to spend my hard earned money there. ;) :D

Mate I'm crackin' a beer now to celebrate! I used to spend over two hours in the car each way to shop there.
A good retailer is so important. I'm just glad that mine is going to still be around. :D

That's fantastic news and I bet your wife is having kittens about it :p !!!

The last thing we need is to loose good people from the retail sector as finding a good diecast stockist is always so hard. I hear the value of the share price in your bank have just risen substantially :p

cheers.
