I have just perused the chicago report on www.sportcraftcars.com and they said that welly were bringing out a Trans-Am Mustang for about $US70. When I looked at the picture it looked very much like Moff's mustang albeit with the number 1 and a BP sticker on the front guard.
Any ideas about what's going on?

I believe that's been discussed numerous times on this board. So, here is the brief story so far. Initially Welly (the company which produced the Moffat's Mustang for Memorabilia) wanted to bring the model as is to the US market sans the packaging and COA. However as time went by, Welly couldn't come to terms with neither Coca Cola nor Moffat. So, instead of doing a sensible thing, which inlcuded nothing more than repainting existing mold in color scheme or livery famliar to the collectors in the US, Welly went ahead and released a model (it's already out) like you've described in your post. By the way, Sportcrafters want too much. Other retailers price this model at $45US.

Sergey
