I have just noticed that the lakeside model of johnson released a while ago has dropped in price?

What i mean is that the last 10 sales have been all below what the average has been. Keep an eye out for bargains, any thing under $210 is ok.

I'd noticed that too, interesting development, isn't it?

i think it is due to the fact that the reverse cobra has similar livery and this may confuse some buyer? I dont know.

My only tip is dont sell one now.

I agree, the release of the latest XC would have an effect on the Lakeside XC price, I think the same has happened with the Moffat 1D when the Moffat No 9 ATCC winner was released.

BTW, Inter, whats the going price for a 1D?.

I was surprised to notice the Lakeside XC come down myself.A pretty rare occurance despite a similar car being released.

Prices of the Moffat 1D vary from $330 to $450 at the moment. :)

I have also noticed accross the board drops in prices being paid....

But also remember what time of the year it is,
spending is often down in the months of May through June.

Prices of all kinds of commodities are linked to "consumer confidence" - while people are happy with the market they keep buying, prices rise, until one or two people start to raise concerns. It can take almost nothing for the upward curve to flatten and then plummet - house prices, classic cars (late '80s in the UK), tulip bulbs (16th century Holland!). While people were expressing their excitement about the model car market (for many people it was a new thing, there were lots of new releases etc) it remained buoyant and prices kept on going up. Buyers on eBay paid high prices, confident that they would still make a profit, and values soared. And then the bubble burst. People had bought too many models, maybe lost interest in their newish hobby (lack of space or a decent cabinet!), releases slowed, concerns were raised about the market in general. Prices dropped, people stopped buying 4 of each release, demand dropped and the downward plunge continues. But like all commodities things will flatten out, new collectors will be seeking older releases, and then slowly it will creep upwards again. DON"T PANIC, PEOPLE! Keep the faith!
