i would like to know if when the vz commodores come out later in the year will they be a major update over the vy's and correct the area's of the vy's that seem incorrect?
specifically : 1 ride height
2 top of front airdam/bumper
undercuts are to low
3 rear wing height and ridge
across front edge
and finally can we have a more open weave window net

Yeah, the Biante VY V8 Supercar's ride heights were too high. I'd also like to see some negative camber on the wheels like the Classic Carlectables models.

I can live with the ride heights but I'd like to see the front bumper dimensions fixed along with the height of the rear spoilers as mentioned by mrmavx.

Hi mrmavx, there was a thread some time ago regarding your Question, and Richard did mentioned they will be lowered to the correct height

Which is great news

Has anybody ever compared the two extremes for camber and rear wing angle on the CC's and Biante models with the real thing?

IMO both model makers are correct...they just model different extremes of these adjustable items...

Leigh, its not so much the angle of the rear spoilers. Like you say, they could be modelled at different extremes. It's just that Biantes seem to be too high.

Ahh, by my measurements, the front leading edge is within cooee on both makes. Remember, the rear spoiler pivots on the front edge...meaning that the rear is high on the Biantes due to the angle...

CC's model a flat "high speed, low downforce" rear spoiler, Biante the opposite.

OK, I'm going to have to line up a CC and Biante now when I get home to compare:D
I was pretty sure that the poles? or the bits screwed to the boot, were taller on the Biante ones thus giving them the extra height.
When looking at the cars from the rear, my VY HRT spoilers are nearly level with the roof whereas my VY Team Kiwi one is about halfway down the rear window which I'm sure is more accurate from pictures I've seen.

the front bumper part that i was talking about in my earlier post is not the splitter as some people believe but the part of the front airdam assembly where the airdam cuts back under the bumper (where the biante sticker is on both 03 and 04 HRT cars) it should cut back under at aproximately the bottom of the biante sticker or almost same height as top of air intake. as to the height of the rear wing i believe the correct height to be about half way between th classic and biante heights this tho is easy to correct but the ridge (is this a thick gurney lip on the wrong edge?) across the front of wing is not

once again tho i am just trying to be constructive on how to improve a good model, i am not trying to be picky for the sake of it
