I personaly do not collect road cars but a fair few do.
I have been asked if I would consider making numberplate decals.
This is so that the front and back numberplates have something on them.
I would like to ask if that would be an good idea?
and what should the decals have on them?
FORD, HOLDEN, GT HO, GTS, XU1, MONARO, FALCON???
let me know which way to progress with this if there is need for this.

I think this would be a great idea as to what u should have on them i reckon just HOLDEN or FORD that way it would save costs aswell.

Perhaps a sheet of 1/2 FORD, HOLDEN logos on appropriate colour background and 1/2 just the words FORD and HOLDEN, either as a seperate sheet for each or a F sheet an a H sheet, would be the question....Maybe best to keep the brandnames seperate in order to get a goodly number of pairs on a sheet & then the choice to purchase would be straight forward with only those collecting BOTH makes having to get a sheet of each...I for one would be interested. Just adds the finishing touch to models that have unadorned plates.

to save even more on cost, you can just print it off on a regular printer then put a piece of tape or contact over it to give it sone shine, this way, you can have any style you like, and even make exact replicas of plates.

heres a short tutorial on how to make them

Good idea, I'd certainly be interested. For mine, I would be interested in FORD, HOLDEN, GT HO, & GTS, but as has been mentioned probably a sheet with a variety which includes FALCON, XU1 & MONARO, could be a more viable proposition, depending on cost.

Bert, if you're going to the effort of making a sheet, why not do individual letter/numbers as well so people who own a 1:1 can have the exact same #plate on the model ???

cheers. :)

Then just get a buff 1/18 envelope and put it under the wiper.;)

You must have a different system in ACT Mal, down here you get a lovely yellow sticker on your window that from a distance looks like those yellow parking stickers we had on the weekend...parking tickets come in a clear plastic bag taped to your window:(
