I've just noticed that my 2003 Bathurst winner 1/18 has the logo NGK on the right headlight when it should read Kitten. Has anybody else had any problems? or I'm I just lucky/unlucky.

Just checked mine,both say Kitten.
I guess you are unlucky as the proper model should have the Kitten sponsorship.
Factory faults, in my opionion, make a model less collectable

Have a look at the photo in the link HERE (http://community.webshots.com/photo/222497239/224 951547MuuUBf). The photo is courtesy of Streettuners webshots page and clearly shows that the headlights are different as no1holdenfan is explaning.

Unfortunately these things happen.. The 1995 Brock Bathurst car is riddled with mistakes...I figure they are still better than I can make!!

Maybe Admin could put up detailed pics of cars that they have prototype pics of with stickers etc applied if they have them then people can discuss whether or not they are correct.
Just an Idea.

I think there are two issues in this thread...
The Brock HRT example (not agreeing or disagreeing with the errors) is systematic error i.e. where every single model produced has the same error. (Some better examples would be the "SKAFE" HRT's, the HDT Torana taillights or the 78 Bathurst winner Bathurst 1000 decals)
The Kmart Racing Commodore has a random error. i.e. not all models have the error (mine has two kitten headlights). This will occur from time to time when human error creeps in in the factory.
Lets not confuse the two, as HSVLOVER and Maximus's comments only relate to systematic error. But I tend to agree with Malik, models would probably never be made if public debate occurred...
Cheers
