I'm glad you mentioned that. I thought I was seeing things. Maybe it was nerves. :D. The camera's seem to cut away pretty quick when he was in the motions.

It would be a different story if the referee saw all of the FORWARD passes that New South Wales threw which led to trys. Queensland threw one and got pinged for it. Also some of the penalities were a bit bias too. An example was the Billy Slater penality for kicking the footy away when he lost it and then Kennedy did the same thing later in the game and got away with it.

Bargea*** (Johns) had a good game i suppose but the point the game changed was his 40/20 kick.

But bring on Lang Park. I'll be there and I can't wait.

I agree some penalties were a sus for both sides but, Slater deserved his. After Slater dropped the ball another Queensland player threw the ball away first. That's O.k to slow the play down. Fair enough. Then Slater went out of his way to kick the ball further.

But shouldn't Kennedy throwing the ball away the same thing? Therefore a penality should have gone to the Maroons. But it doesn't matter the games over now and Queensland scored from the next set of 6 anyway.

As a massive Knights fan, I’ve noticed over the years that Johns often throws up as he leaves the tunnel for a big game, be it first or second half, or both!

What a game though, don’t tell me he wasn’t aiming at that post!

As for the refereeing, QLD got the 50/50 calls at their house, the Blues got them at theirs, and I’m sure QLD will get them in game 3. And that’s the way it should be.

I thought there were some rough calls by the ref for both teams. I lost o**** how many times QLD were not square at marker and yet still made a tackle.

I saw Joey throw up as well and noticed it went "un noticed".

I didn't think Webb was making that much of an impact anyway - NSW were tackling him quite easy and maybe he is better off the bench?!

As for the forward passes, 1 of the NSW balls that "floated" forward I thought was a try as don't the rules state that if you throw the ball backwards but it floats forward it is deemed ok? I wasn't sure about the QLD try in the corner, line ball to me?!

I also thought Thorn was offside when he scored off the Lockyer kick?! Thought the ref might have went upstairs but didn't and we only saw 1 replay after it was scored so was hard to tell.

As I said some rough calls against both teams but I don't think the ref cost QLD the game... Joey just dominated and I think the QLD'ers were stunned :D Joey hasn't been named the best player in the world twice for nothing and I was glad he showed everyone that he still has it.

Must admit I was on the Blues side last night as I wanted to see the series stay alive until the last game.
Brilliant to watch again. I look forward to these games every year. About time we had another one at the MCG! ;)

Hate to say it.. but I had a feeling we were in trouble when I heard Johns was included in the Blues....I say bring back Kimmorley he throughs a great cut out pass....The problem is i work with too many Blue supporters, all day Joey this.... As usual north of border always whine when flogged. In all the years I have watched origin its always the same. If QLD get beat
its a conspiracy theory, everyone hates us. Does everyone forget
the greatest ref bought by QLD Barry Gommersall ????? QLD supporters should stop whining and play football and let the best team win!!!!!!!!

Living in QLD its interesting to see the reaction after origin. When I was in Canberra 90% of my mates supported NSW, yet no matter what the result was the game was always talked about, yet here in QLD if there is a loss its not mentioned.

Plus all this talk about the ref....i'm willing to give the QLDers benefit of the doubt over game 1, but to claim ty Williams try off Slater and complain about the ref here.....come off it!!

All depends ware and who you work with, we have a Fifty fifty QLD NSW at our work...and it's a great time and lot fun Geeing each other up.... i am a QLD supporter and thought it was a good game....we were out played.

Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. Who whinged after they lost the first game? I think it was Ricky Stuart and where does he come from? I think New South Wales. Thats why the ref was changed after the first game

I think Johns didnt warrant a selection as he was out of form and Matt Orford should have played instead. Hearing about his performance it seems it was justified!

Im glad Matt King had a great game and Billy Slater made a 100m try. As you can see I only care about the Storm! :D :cool:

It is a game of footy not life or death , but boy do you banana heads whine a lot. I was up there in early April and they were right about crossing the border and go back 20 yrs LOL

Hahahahaha, you're kidding yourself! I remember in the mid to late 80's NSW got flogged 3 nil and all we heard form months was how hard done by the NSW team were! hahahaha...

What a great game of defence by NSW, QLD threw everything at them and couldn't break them.

Can't see any QLD'ers blaming the ref for this scoreline!!! Are they sure there were that many people at the game, during most of the game the I reckon you could have heard a pin drop ;)

Have to take my hat off to Ricky Stewart he's a good coach, the Rosters have never missed grand final since he took over and wins the series first go as NSW
