If it's the same, more than a decade-old Kyosho mold, then I'll definitely pass. Espeically considering the price point.

Admin - will this be from the same mould as the 92 car?

Cam,
Your Motor Racing Database is brilliant.
I searched for Moffat and got him.
The layout is very informative.

Thanks Wayne I am glad you like it! I am slowly adding more and more photos as I get them. I have just added about another 70 photos for the 90's (just need to update the database though...). I am working on another race to search on, as they say "watch this space" ;)
Good news to hear that another Bathurst winner is on the way.
But yes, please tell me it won't be using the same base car as the 1992 version. Not picking or anything, but I think that it is a step below the quality of the current cars, and it would be a shame to still use it even though it would be cheaper to build.
Put it this way, if it was a new version, and it was to be released in the 1992 colours as well, I would buy it and put the current '92 version back in the box.

Maybe we are all a bit spoiled with the quality of the Biante brand ,and should put it all in prespective.
The other cars that are made of this mould are fetching serious dollars and also the Gibson motorsport winning ,by default car, is in the $400 mark and a great model!
I will buy the red white and blue model as well ,never mind the mould used.
I have had to put up with Coldwheels/Barbiebuckets to keep my F1 collection complete so Kyosho is not a problem in the quality stakes , Believe me!

I don't mind if it comes out using the same mould as the 92 car as long as I get one I will be happy :) (although an updated mould would be good) especially as though the 92 car is fetching a decent price on the auctions sites...

I personally will be disappointed if the mould is the same Kyosho mould. It was great 10 years ago, but looking at my 1992 Bathurst winner and my #12 Calsonic car alongside the Biante vehicles, there is no comparison. I have ranted about this before in other threads, but I believe the GTR deserves a better mould than one a decade old. Surely such a technologically advanced car deserves a technologically advanced production? And the 'look' of the Kyosho moulded cars is not quite right - the headlights are average, and the wheels don't look very detailed either. I sob when I see the level of detail of that Nissan, and then I look at the detail of the Commodores and Falcons. It should be the other way around! (Queue up here to berate me over that last remark! :D )

One thing I forgot to add - whether it is a Kyosho mould or not, it won't stop me from buying it. I love GT-R's, and wouldn't miss out on any of them.

I also am looking forward to the release of the 91 Bathurst car.
Just as some of the previous posts pointed out a new mould to bring it up to the current Biante level would be great. But if it doesn't happen I for one like many others will still add it to my collection.
