I was just looking through the FAQ section & I was wondering when 'a later date' was with regards to the DJR Collection. (as I think there has been no change to this list for more than 12 months other than the word 'released' next to some models).
Surely, there has been some new additions to this list over the past 12 months & I was wondering when Biante was going to share this with us collectors.
I know what models i would like to see and any regular forum reader would know what other people have suggested they want. So, I do not want this to be another thread where people list what they want as its' been done so many times before.
It would be nice however, to have some indercation of what models are comming in the next 12 months, as to help us plan our purchases.
I'm sure the Brock & Moffat collection collectors, are feeling the same way and would appreciate a little more information.
Cheers,

I do alot of my Biante model purchases through a store called Games World.
The Games World store at Northland Shopping Centre (which is in Preston, Victoria) has a list of all the proposed Biante model releases which is available for potential buyers to look at. I have asked them for a copy but they have been reluctant to give them out.
Im assuming that other such stores do have similar lists which Biante have provided them. I dont know why this list cannot be available to the general public, so they can as you suggested plan their purchases accordingly.

how about devolging some of these forthcomming models to the rest of us. I buy mine from Coffey Ford in Dandenong in Victoria and they seem to know what is comming model to model info, but nothing in the not to distant future.
Better still, why doesn't biante post this list on its' website.

Sending the list to us collectors I think would really help us. Instead of going into the shop, or ringing them asking what they have heard is next, would save time if we recieved the list to. We could just contact the shop and say I want to order these up comming models. Time saved for us and the shops.

I went into the same shop i talked about in my previous post yesterday in the hope of pressuring them into giving me a copy of the list.
What they have advised me is that Biante is reluctant to give out such details because of the highly competitive nature of the industry.
With so many companies producing Australian models having a list available for the general public would undermine their efforts in releasing a model before the competition does.
I can understand Biante's views on this, however with so many loyal Biante collectors out there it wouldnt make a difference. We all know who the competition is (Classic Carlectables, Trax, Dinkum Classics) and we all know how good their models are.
Put quite simply the level of quality in a Biante model is unmatched in the industry. I know what i would do if two companies released the same model at the same time. Buy Biante.....

I'm with you loste_treasures, i realy don't think they need to worry. As any expirenced collector will know, Biante's models are second to none.
I have a vast varitey of models in my collection and the Biante / Autoart model are my favorite. If i knew Biante was producing a particular model it would probelly help them as I for one, would wait until they're produced.
I believe that Biante's models are the current bench mark for Australian models. I used to buy some Dinkum models, however they're price makes them prohetitive (i don't belive they have the quality either). I started with some Trax models, but they're simple not worth the money. The only manfacturer to come anywhere near Biante have been the latest batch of Classics, but they're still no where near biante.
Point of my comment - Biante you have nothing to fear in letting some of us collectors in on what models are comming over the next 12 months. You might find that this inproves your market share of the model car market.
comments expressed by brchi17 are those held by brchi17 and are in way affifilated with any of the above mentioned companies.

As brchi17 said I can understand the concern that Biante has in making these lists public. However I too believe and know that as a collector I would wait for the Biante release rather than buy from another manufacturer.
Biante you are the Benchmark and will continue to be so while producing your models with so much percision and accuracy. I am also sure that your results are so good because your really do CARE about what you are doing. Keep up the great work.
Maybe one day we will see some more extensive, advanced production lists.

If you can get hold of the list please fax it over to us to have a look at as we have never produced such a list for any of our stores.
They may have put it together from shop order forms and the lists in the FAQ section of the site.

Doesn't the Production Planned' and 'Upcoming Models' serve the purpose of what is on the horizon?
Like the VT Clubsport (in white) that is to be released Tuesday next.
That has been on the site for a while and here it comes.........

I can't find any new DJR models that meet your comments. Could you please let me know how you have found them and what models they are ?
cheers.
Biante shouldnt worry about other Diecast makers... NO ONE builds models like BIANTE . Even though I have always loved Aussie cars I never purchased a Trax or any other model in the previous years because they just didnt look "right"..

brchi17....
I was not referring to just DJR models......
I now realise that your thread started specifically for DJR models.......my humble apologies.
The Herron White R8 Clubsport has been delayed until Thursday now...according to BIANTE e-Mail.

Small problem of a hurricane in the South China Sea.
Sorry I couldn't organise that to happen after the ship went past!!
The ship to Melbourne got a real belting, so I hope our container is still on board when it arrives 4 days late.

I ask again.
Any ideas of what the next models in the DJR collection will be ?
I would suggest that from the lack of information from admin, Richard, etc....., that they don't want to share information with us collectors, for fear that other comanies may beat them to releasing that model.
If i was biante (and i'm not) i would like my clients to have an idea of what was comming so that they waited for the biante models and did not buy the competitions models.
Just food for thought admin.
