As a lot of the Dinkum models are runs of 99,I suppose you can call them rare,I have seen the 1:43 going around the $160.00 mark ,gateways have most of theirs at that price,Ebay?you may get lucky.:D

I have 11 Dinkum Classic 1:43 scale models in my collection with the dearest one costing $240 ('83 VH #05 Brock/ Perkins HDT Bathurst car) and the cheapest costing $103 ('88 VL #11 Perkins SV Commodore). The others averaged between $160-$180 each. I also have 3 Dinkum Classic 1:24 scale models, 1980 Janson/Perkins VC Commodore ($360) and the two 1984 Marlboro HDT Commodores #05 Brock/Perkins & #25 Harvey/Parsons ($700 the pair). This part of my Perkins collection has set me back just under $3000.

All cars are different.

Sometimes people may not understand the value of some models and sometimes the value varies from state to state. A dealer from Sydney told me that the pair of '84 Marlboro HDT models I have would not go for less than $1000 down south.

Sounds like good buying to me.

After 25 years of dreaming, I picked up the 1/43rd Tru-Blu and Greens-Tuf Falcons of Dick Johnson.

They set me back over $700.00.....

If you have any Fords in that lot you just bought, I may be interested in taking them off your hands if you want.

They may lack a little detail over the current crop, but it's the heritage of them thats important!

Ed :)

Gee Inter sounds like you got quite a good collection for dam good money.

Quite a few years ago (when I was young and stupid with plenty of cash burning a whole in my pocket) I paid $280 for one of the 99 Bathurst 98 winning Pirtek cars of Richo and Brighty.

It's a nice car, but I'd be surprised if it was worth anything near what I paid for it today.

Than again I've never seen on for sale since so I could be surprised......

cheers. :)

I can just imagine it too.

The other kids will be playing in the sand box with matchbox and hot wheels cars and your kids will have Biante and autoart.

Great stuff ;)
