Hey all,

My project is about 95% complete, and have to say it will be my first and last effort at a custom job, too much trouble!!!!

I have attached a pic, and as you'll see it is based on the Thunder Ute which was built by GRM for promotional use at Bathurst last year. This coupe has complete V8 Supercar componentry, interior etc etc. The only thing that has remained that comes from the Monaro model is the body, doors, windows and bootlid. Everything else has been salvaged off my GRM Bathurst winner.

The picture doesn't really do it justice, I'll try and take some better ones when it is totally complete.

Good stuff Glen, you beat me.
I started my "Killer Koupe" months ago, but it all got put to the side when my free time started drying up.

One day....

looks great glen,
i am working on a similar model in 1:43 (not as much trouble)
but its the LM-spec monaro from street machine magazine. its basically the same (monaro body, Touring car interior) but the LM-spec has a custom body kit, bonnet scoops and spoiler) its only a sideline project alongside my 1:18 gts modification so my monaro will take a fair while as most of my time is dedicated to my other model

will have pics of both models when they are finished

Glen

Looks great

Can't wait to see some more pictures.

I hope to start on a project myself shortly. Time permitting.
Not real sure now as you say it's just too much hassle.

We'll see.

Anyway great work.

Excellent.
Where do you get the plain bodys? I'm actually interested in custom doing some of my own Police cars and other models??

I used a silver Monaro and the 2000 Bathurst winner, no plain bodies, you can't get them. Any project you want to do has to be from complete models, you can't buy any parts from Biante or AUTOart, I have already tried.
