Question Canberra to Bathurst

Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me regarding the best way, and how long it would take to get from Canberra To Bathurst by car

As I planning a trip from Brisbane to Sydney and then onto Canberra, and then on my return would like to go through Bathurst onto the Dubbo zoo with the family

The best thing I can suggest is the link below, it gives you kilometre and estimated travel times and you can pick most direct route, shortest route, sights on the way for kids, adults, etc as well.

On the way back I'd go Tamworth-Dubbo and then Bathurst.

Mick go via boorowa to Cowra (about 200ks) then 1.15 Hrs to bathurst.

Canberra, Yass, Boorowa, Cowra then onto Bathurst. Or do what I do and go through Orange and have a look in Willoughbys Model Cars.

What Lachlan said. It can take up to 6 hours, depending. Or if you like dirt-roading, there's quite a few more direct minor dirt/gravel roads through the Mountains. One goes more or less directly north from Cbr via Abercrombie Caves & ends up at Orange. There's another that branches off from Goulburn (Taralga/Oberon) that can get you to Jenolan Caves, too. You'll need good, detailed maps, but it's a lot of fun.
