Yes that looks very nice, now we can distinguish it to the HRT cars a bit more!

Big thumbs up here!
Do you think they may have an identity crisis, three liveries in a year, four if you include the buick one? ;)

I hope they make the Buick livery verision, I'll buy the minicar scale for sure!
That looks heaps better. Are we likely to see it modelled though? I'd say the models with the original livery are well into their development to change it now.
We can only hope Kelly and Tander win Bathurst so we get a Bathurst version.

Now that's a good looking race car !!!
Interesting to note that it currently has Kelly & Tander in car #16. If this is the case, then what was the point of making Murph run #15 at Bathurst last year ???
cheers. :)

Now, this was last year, and I’m only going from memory, so if I’ve got this wrong, I apologise.
However, I’m pretty sure I heard that it was all about giving young Rick more responsibility. I’m also pretty sure that as part of this “changing of the guard at KMart, they also shared qualifying duties at the enduros last year? Sort of grooming Rick to be the Number 1 driver, once Murph was gone…?
Anyone else hear this, or am I totally wrong?

This is the scheme they should have run from the start, I like it a lot.
Will definitely get the diecast version of the car now...

That is a really good looking race car. I must admit I was hoping for a little silver in the car like the 97 young lions car, but that will certainly do!
Looks like a great excuse for a HSV Dealer Team enduro model! ;)

Ok I've not heard that one. I thought it was all about the team owners not wanting the winning car to have #51 as Murph was taking that number to his new team. I think it was something along the lines of linking the Bathurst winner's number to the current team, rather than SCAR ???
cheers. :)

Getting rid of most of the white is such an improvement. Can't wait to see this car in the flesh.
Hope the new livery works for them at Sandown. They should be a strong pairing for the enduros.

Yep much better.I would have thought they would run the #15 for the enduros and Bathurst. It is Kelly's number he won (sorry Murph won) Bathurst with last year. It may change between now and then though.

Major improvement, but they should of used the K2 ride car livery. That is an awsome looking car.

I spoke to Rick at the race last year and since they had raced with #51 in all other enduros he asked to use his number for a change. That's all.

I think the race car is more important. Change the K2 car slightly, its basically all the one team anyway. Tom Walkinshaw has said that he only wants Holden money going to these two teams. team Perkins, GRM and SCAR maybe losing their Holden dolllars when thier respective contracts expire.

I like it and if anyone has noticed that its pretty similar to ricks HYL car minus the flame job
Guys, the car in the pics is actually a show car (race cars are being done
on the 6th) to see how the livery looks in the metal. It's just that the #16
was used, no other reason.
I would say that Kelly/Tander will be in #15 for the enduro's, so relax!!!
It looks a little like the Young Lions, with a touch of Rickster's "Buick" paint.

Just got the V8X magazine today. It is a GIANT improvement over previous scheme. Now we can concentrate on the race instead of sitting round trying to work who's car is who's! It is just a far better colour scheme to look at too. I hope the silly bugger who originally decided to have all 4 cars looking near the same, has been severely reprimanded with a mallet !! :D

No. It was done by the gurus @ Holden. I just re-created
their 3D images into flat art for signage purposes.
The pics in V8X are actually of an earlier version before it was reworked.
Lion on the side and the bonnet are different. An example of my artwork
is the over-head profile image.
It does look good and should be even better on the track.
