does anyone else think that a 1:18 Ford Escort RS2000 would be pretty cool?

Which one? I guess in Oz you only got the Mk1 and Mk2, which were the best anyhow! A Mk2 with slant nose and x-pack conversion would be superb! There's a picture of one on page 107 in Issue 3 of Australian Muscle Car, but a red one would be better...

As a big escort fan a Mk2 Rs2000 would be great to see in 1:18. My dad has one in canary yellow and I have a Mk1 1300XL which will eventualy be made into a RS2000 replica.
By the way Nick are round headlight grills, 6 dial-dashes and dash tops easy and cheap to get over in the UK as they are nearly impossible to find here.

Fordfan01, when I was looking to buy a Mk2 the nosecone and headlights were available as good replicas, but I think the dash and interior bits were scarce. That was a few years ago, so I guess the situation won't have improved! I was excited to find an original sales brochure for the Mk2 RS2000 and Mexico the other day, in perfect condition in a farmer's shed!

Changing the thread slightly altho the RS2000 would be fantastic, especially the Tour of Britain Ari Vatanen rally version, would be better. How about the Mk3 RS1700T rally car that never made it to GroupB rallying

Oh yes please! I reckon you could fit all those people who know what one of those is on a small bus! I understand from AutoArt that they will be making the Group B cars, but whether that will include any of the non-starters/failures, like the RS1700T, Citroen BX4TC, Lancia ECV (for the planned Group S, the monstrous big brother of Group B) etc, I don't know...And I hope they do the road versions as well.
