Hi,

I have a 1:18 scale AutoArt HRT Jason Bright 2001 Presentation VX Commodore (number 1872/2001) that has Jason Bright's name on the right back door and Mark Skaife's name on the left back door.

The model is mint in box, has _NEVER_ been opened, and still has the original plastic straps around it.

I purchased this model from Bridge Models (South Australia) and the proprietor wrote me a letter confirming it was delivered to him from his supplier like this.

Can anyone confirm whether this was a known error or whether any other examples of it exist ?

Thanks,

labrat

From time to time models come out of the factory with errors like this on them. A friend of mine had a 1:64 KMart car. It is a Kelly car in every way except for the number on the door is Murphy's number. You are lucky to have such a car.

What are we trying to prove? ......... The fact you do not have to contribute to your superannuationcontributions?
How do you know that there is another name on the other side of the car if you have "never" opened the box?

Lost,

Shame on you, ten bucks.

Good try

To the guy that has it, mate if its genuine (straps on does not guarantee this) you may have a one off, which makes it a 1 out of 1.

The error market is not that huge here in oz simply due to the numbers but if it were an F1 car you would have the Japanese collectors crawling all over you these guys are mad for 1 off mistakes and even obvious fakes they pay big money for on Auction sites. If it had Wayne Gardners name on the window you could make a killing.

Has your model got different numbers on the doors to correspond with the different names each side ? Or is it just the name on the back window.
