I've got a sad story......

I was so looking forward to getting the two new HSV's that Biante had just released.

When i got the call from one of the stores that stocks them, i rushed out to look at them. I spent an hour looking through all their stock until i found two that i liked.

It turned out that i managed to get a HSV Clubsport and the GTS. Both have super low numbers on their certificates (3 digits).

Guess what happened next?

Got them home, all excited (i wanted to show my boy our new additions to our collection) to find out that the box of my beloved Clubsport had somehow been damaged in my car.

You think im spewing?? YOU BETCHA !!! Im absolutely bleeding that the corner had been crushed !!!!

This leads me to my plea......

Does anyone not need their box? I know it might sound trivial but im going to keep this one and give to my son when he is old enough to appreciate it.

Does Biante have any 'spare' they can give to me?

Any help in regards to this would be very much appreciated.........

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE....

Personally, I would not worry to much about it. If the car itself was damaged, then that is when to start worrying.

Yeah i know it might sound trivial. As i said previously this will go to my boy.

He is only starting out collecting diecast and ive being trying to teach him the rights and wrongs of collecting.

I've always told him that you need to keep things original and not damage anything, including the box.

He was the one who actually pointed the damage to me. You should have seen the look on his face.

To say he was dissapointed is an understatement. You try telling a 5 year old that it doesnt really matter.....

Loste, wait until the day his friends decide your models will look much better in the sand pit out the back, than in your display case.

You'll most likely need to order some "pine boxes" in this situation... :p

hopefully by that time he will be possesive enough not to let anyone 'play' with them.

but now i cant help but feel like ive let him down. again i know it might be trivial to some but thats not the point. the point is that im trying to teach him values and with this exampe, i havent done a good job with it!

Well done Perry !!!!!!!
I'm sure in years to come it will be worth a lot to lostetreasures and his kid. I know how important it is to have a good box as i don't have a display cabnet as yet and so my bigger models (1:18 scale) are displayed in a shelf in their boxes.
How about a nomination for 'Aussie of the Month'
enjoy your box.
Cheers.

Aussie of the Month... i dont think so.
Its a box, worth stuff all to me. If it can help out another collector by swapping, good on them.
