Don't know if anyone else saw this on the Holden Motorsport website, but it's great news for WA fans. Now we'll know who won when the rest of australia does.

Bathurst bonus for WA fans
For the first time, Network Ten will telecast the Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 at Bathurst live into West Australia the network has announced.

Ten previously delayed the coverage into the West for three hours due to its scheduled 5.00am start.

But thanks to positive feedback from fans for the early start, Ten's general manager of Sport, David White, says Sandgropers can flick on the tele before dawn and watch the great race live.

"We have always listened to what our viewers say and whenever possible, tried to accommodate their wishes. The feedback from WA is that fans want the race live, and we are happy to oblige," White said.

In the past, the telecast has started at 6am in perth (9am EST) with the 3 hour deleyed telecast and the race finishes approx 5.30pm our time (8.30pm EST). Going live means if the telecast starts at 6am EST, we start watching at 3am. Allow for the 3 hour time difference East to West

I don't know what time the telecast usually starts over east so I'm only going on Perth's past telecast times. I for one like to watch the entire telecast.

We for one are again going to have a party complete with all the trimmings including some nice looking ladies with nothing on who are serving us oisters ,crayfish,abalone,Bourbon/coke and all the usual as we have been doing for several years ,if we have to strart at 3 am we might as well start the evening before:D
6 am was ok with us as we do not haqve contact with people over east as we are not in a state to understand anyway!
Go Brock Go ,Go DJRn Alan Jones GO, Long Live Sir J. Brabham, I ll drink a toast on his wellbeing ,what a nice Person.

Is it just me or dothe mths here make no sense whatsoever

Perth is 2 hours behind Sydney, 3 hours behind in daylight saving time (which is not during Bathurst usually).

Last year I believe that the telecast ran from 7am 'til 5pm (race goes from 10am 'tl about 4:30'ish generally).

Wouldn't this make it run from 5am 'til 3pm Perth time?

If I'm right do I get a prize :D

Was at the race last year so don't know what time the telecast started back home in Perth but in previous years it's been 6am.

Doesn't really matter what time the telecast starts, 7am, 5am or earlier, the fact that we're getting it LIVE is the main point.
