had a good look at the skaife car today at the lions den at parramatta, the rear ride height seems a little low, they had murphy's classic 1:18 supercheap beside it & the biante car really seemed a little odd, also seems to be too much clearance from the edge of the rear wheel to the front of the wheel arch, anyone noticed this??

I went to Lion's Den in Paramatta yesterday and saw the 1:18 05 HRT cars. They certainly gave it a go in making the car ride seem more real. I think it looks ok. Better than before at least.

Compared to the VXs of old, the better wheels, brake discs, and ride height makes the model look much better.

PS they still have STACKS of 1:64 HRT twin sets left if anyone's still chasing one.....

PPS they had 1:64 Fords on sale!! i would never have guessed.

after reading this thread i headed down to the lions den to have a look and i liked it. compared to the VY which had a very high ride height, i think the new VZ looks alot better. I like the new ride height. although i think that the front could still come down as it is still very high, but as i said it is a noticable difference and improvement. i like it!!

Has anyone had any problems with sticker falling off their models?

My new skiafe 1:18 2005 model has the bridgestone stiker falling off the front splitter.

I'm very impressed with the rear ride height. I think it looks spot on. Have you also noticed that the rear spoiler is now a lot lower than the VY's and the shape of the front splitters corners look a lot better.
The improvements made by Biante to the VZ are fantastic. A few changes I also noted were that the HRT VZ doesn't have the front demister in the windscreen and the Skaife car (possibly the Kelly car as well) has the drivers side window up whereas in all previous years, it has been modelled with the window down.
