TOY maker Mattel Inc will pay its deposed Barbie and Hot Wheels chief $AU9.5 million in severance, the company has revealed in a regulatory filing.
Mr Bousquette, a 17-year Mattel veteran, resigned in October, a week before the company announced that weak Barbie (Elise)sales had dragged third-quarter profit down 12 per cent, sending the stock to its lowest point in almost five years. The poor sales marked two years of declining sales for the company's biggest property.
