very nice even if it is a cop car :p , I wonder if they trick these up with any High Performance equiptment or don't they need to .

I'd go for one of these if modeled for sure , they look hot .

I wouldn't think so, the Gen III are quick enough even in std form - at least we know who's got the last of the Gen III Commodores.

cheers :)

Thanks brad , I thought they'd be quick enough too but wasn't sure , all their older cars had suspension packs and other performance mod's so I wasn't sure whether the new additions would have done so too , but with the high powered modern sporty cars producing big hp engines and handling kits capable of quick accelleration , big top speed and superb handling I thought the cops would want to be up one on them especially for highway patrol use .

Then again I suppose with these high performance cars , 2-way radio and access to servailance helicopters and other equiptment at their disposal a bit of extra hp in the cars isn't going to achieve a whole lot more for the extra cost it would take .

Cheers Jim .

Hey they are nothing compared to our (Qld's) red Monaro chase cars, now they are beeeeeeeeeeeautiful pieces of work. Would love to get these at the auctions in a couppla months.

The policeman called it the Wiggles car (big red car) and called it impractical, no back seat just a shelf with big data harddrives under it and hats helmets and radar gear on top. They have to call a squad car to escort allegend crims to the watchhouse....

Oh and the sound of it launching away in pursuit left me ready to sign up at the academy..........:D Truly an automotive climax on wheels.....:>:>:>>>>>>>>..........(big smiles with drool)

Maybe it was the blue Vic Police Monaro.
A brother of a high school mate of mine is traffic cop and looks he got a crack at the monaro.

I reckon Biante should make a model of this one, and the yellow highway patrol VZ SS!!

I first saw the Vic Monaro at the Melbourne Motor Show and didn't think I'd see it again but driving up Wattletree Road Tuesday morning around 8:15am it was parked next to a school crossing.

It was amusing watching people put the brakes on and slow to the posted 40 k limit when they realised the Monaro was actually a cop car...

The VZX SV8 monaros comes with a nice sounding exhaust. The old man has one as a work car. Only difference is his doesn't have the party lights or the air brushing over the paint work.

Biante should think about doing a model for the new coloured NSW highway patrol vehicles surfacing across the state:
Few can be found here;

I don't speed unlike a majority of Queenslanders it was at the Helensvale shopping centre (it was parked).

One thing iv'e noticed since i moved 2 QLD was that they always go 10 kays over the limit.
