Just absolut amazing to see the level of enjoyment and admiration of the fans at Bathurst regarding TEAM BROCK!
This is in no small part due to the team at Biante.
Thank You:)
Marketingwise ;what a success
Brock has already won the race ,everybody else came second in the TV/media time including Tom's bunch.HeHe!
I am Happy
Go Brock Go! :D

They didn't win, but with a sick car they finished. Who looks after their fans better than that?

Good try.

it was a good marketing strategy also, Brock must have made a fortune so he should have no problems in getting better finance to run the team next year. HRT must have felt it.

Peter Brock being a sportsman from way back, who is rightly so HUGELY supported and Hrt who at best can only be supported because of their big budget and therefore have to win ,so who do the crowd support? the awnser is ......BROCK!
Murp was paid back for his nasty actions and his defiant interview in my book.He gets another big - for behaviour .Valvoline and many other team was unfairly treated by the pacecar and officials,
there are to big a sheepstations at stake!
I have to say,I am happy for Jim Richards as a guestdriver to win again, pity about skaife

In a way it was like a repeat of the 1998 2L 1000 exept with dad coming out on top.
AVESCO talked about a parity advantage for the Fords today but didn't bother because the Commodores would only slow 0.2 sec per lap but how about a Bernie Ecculstone idea on HRT,1 kg per point earned or just 50 kg on all TWR cars.

I personally think that the 05 Commodore should have been black-flagged. The car was 20 odd laps behind and a hinderance and a danger to all the other drivers. Is there not a rule where if you are x amount of laps down you have to retire? Good on him for giving sponsers maximum exposure, but this was done at snails pace around the mountain, we have seen in previous years what backmarkers have done to leading cars, to let cars that are that far behind to circulate is a dangerous way (as in Brock's case) to thank the Fans and Sponsers for coming!!

Dorf;I do disagree.
more damage was done by the officials and the usual hotheads, even in frontrunning cars than by having Brock circulate around the track

I do agree about the officials and the hoons, but if it was say, Dale Brede or Mark Porter doing the same thing as PB was doing they would have been black flagged.

"Drof
With Peters experieince he was less of a hinderance than the crap (bags, chip containers) floating around on the track. The car was capable of maintaining a constant speed above the minimum required, he knows how to keep out of other drivers way, which is more than can be said of some other "experienced" drivers and it doesn't matter what you say about him, he is still the greatest."

I have been involved in the Konica series through Grant Johnson and to compare Brede with BROCK is in my book a VERY loooooong straw indeed 9 times winner Bathurst etc. etc. against who again??!!
Brock is special and I do not in any way try to denegrate you ,I just do not agree ,with the utmost respect to you, with the above statement:cool:

A little bit off track... but instead of creating a new thread thought I would ask it here - does anybody know of a release date for the Brock/Mezera VR? I saw this model at the Bathurst meet and it looks awesome!!!

Last I heard was that the Brock/Mezera car was supposed to be released late this month or early november.

I can't wait. The pictures look great.

Get your $$ ready ,as the BROCK 1/18 Stunner will be in the shops by the time you are out of bed.
Some one has already paid $242 for it on Ebay:confused:
for us it will be just the usual issue price
and don't forget to look in for theMaisto 1/18 "Crocodile AUDI R8" as there are only 3000 worldwide produced! and many shops are already sold out! "Barramundi airintakes!!",what a paintscheme this once off raced car has ,I had to lock it in my FerrariF1 cabinet ,as my much better half was trying to confiscate it because of the colours and the different animals on it :D

The Bathurst museam on Murrays corner had some autopics.com.au picture discs on sale.
A Torana one,a falcon one and a Peter Brock one.
I bought a Brock picture disc and when I got it signed by him Brocks PR manager(or someone who looked like Bev Brock) asked where I got it from and asked for a lend of it for a minute to jot down details about it.
From what I've heard,Peter Brock is currently making a book so I might have helped out with it.
