I think it should be a Ingall/S Richards Commodore winning model,I'II never accept that Skaife won but if a Skaike winner is made make a 1/43 2 set with the Bathurst and Championship car or should that be championship winner car only.
Tim Schenkan you coward, uncle tom was there but you were too much of a coward to penalise Skaife.

You will never accept that Skaife won??
Hmm.....
Next thing you will be telling us is that you will never accept the world is round !!!!
C'mon, get over it. Skaife WON, taken the prize, kissed the girls, and more importantly proved that he was the best driver on the day.
Anyone seen that holden bag i left somewhere on the mountain??? It was here a minute ago but i have seemed to have lost it when that green eyed monster went past......
:p :p
Can't wait for my 2002 Bathurst Winning Skaife/Richards VX Commodore :)

All I would like to see is a 1/18 figurine of the old master Jim Richards with a Laurel plus the cup to go with the collection....
Laurie Perkins ,the old master of the mountain was again there with both of his cars and on a fraction of the GM worksteam
great to see.
Jim Richards figurine with sunnies - cool!!

I wonder if they release the Skaife Bathurst Winning car without the HOLDEN sticker across the top of the front windscreen ?

How about a 1/18 2 set with both 2001 and 2002 winning cars.

I agree with you SWRT. It should be Ingall/Richards that won the great race as I beleive that after a safty car period they are to be in single file until they cross the start line. Not beside the car in front and definitely not 2/3rds the car length beside the car. Had this been any other driver they would have got a drive through or maybe he should hav to sit in the pits for 1 min.
What MURPH got was not for racing. It take away from what was a good race. Falkners team didn't get a penalty for a similar incident did they. Just my piont of the days racing.

Or to go one further we are still waiting for 75% of the Bathurst winning cars.

Why should he have been given a drive through, he didn't do anything wrong?
The control line - ie the point at which overtaking is permitted - at Mt Panorama is located before pit bay one directly across from the control tower. It is NOT the line just in front of grid position number one.
Given the control line is before the pit bays, he has nearly 2/3 rd the length of the pit straight in which to line up an overtaking manouvre. A legitimate one at that.
Skaife and Richards won it fair and square, and if there was a question about the restart don't you think Larry would have said something
You guys need to get your facts straight.

Something I heard Trevor say at Bathurst was to do with a similar question - if they make all these cars then not everyone can afford them (you may say well tough for them - but then BIANTE get stuck with excess stock because they can't sell them and then you will see them on auction sites for double the retail value...) and then people complain that too many are coming out all at once... give these guys a break and be thankful for what comes out... I don't care if it takes 1 or 10 years for a car as long as they come out...
Also who is not to say that they will release another twin pack of Skaife/Richards and Bright/Mezera??? 1st and 3rd in the great race of all!!!!
Just be patient............

I just notcied this with some photos I saw... What happened? Did they have to replace the front windscreen mid race? Cause he started with Holden on the windscreen.
Also the V out of HSV.COM.AU is missing from the bottom of the windscreen...

I think you will find that when the rain & hail was about, for some reason they lost the HOLDEN sticker across the top of the windscreen.
I said in an earlier post.....I wonder if the Bathusrt Winning model will come with or without this ?

I would expect the model to look like as it was at the start of the race, as this was done with the Bargs/Tander car from 2000. That car finished with a broken headlight (I think it was sitting 1/2 way into and behind the front bar).
The Holden sign and the letter 'V' from HSV was missing from the windscreen after the wiper had been used during the rain.
hope this helps.

The Bargs/Tander car did have wets on as per the end of the race.

Somehow they would have to super-glue it on to the radiator.
Can we have the bag as well? What about the bags on Green Eyed Monster too! if you want to go that far, can we have the BIG dent on #17 falcon!
P.S.Nah it would stuff the model.

I will dent or otherwise deform any HSV or K Mart modelcar for free as long as it is a C.C.
Fords are to expensive to do (you could not afford it) and if you did I cannot go to sleep with a clear contious:D

Those who have the new 2002 Skaife or Bright model - are the Yamaha stickers correct on the new 2002 model? It is only a small detail (the (*) is after the word yamaha instead of before it.) and I am surprised it has not been picked up before - unless there is another reason?
If it is incorrect on the 2002 car maybe the Bathurst car will be correct? Can't wait to add this car next to the 2000 and 2001 Bathurst winners!

hmmmmm maybe it wasnt a plastic bag in the mouth of the green eyed monster but maybe a 'holden' sticker from a certain winners car????
something to think about. has anyone had a good look?
when are the 2002 hrt bathurst cars coming ouyt and will they come in the twin boxed set again?
also is there gonna be a 2002 hyl bathurst car too?
