2 things I don't understand
1)Didn't James Hunt win the title in 1976?
2)Why is this model so expensive?It's a 1/24!
Cheers,
Tony.

The price can probably be explained because it's made by Spark, it's a Ferrari and it was driven by Lauda. Hunt did win the championship in '76, but that was in part due to Niki's accident at the Nurburgring. Also the 312T is a classic, both in looks and engineering execution for its time. The same old story - you get what you pay for.

I've no doubt the quality is great, still seems very steep for a 1/24 though.
Cheers,
Tony.

I actualy have this model in 1/18 scale, very old, was made by "Twin Chrono" and weights a ton, and I believe is very rare.
They did also make a 126 C4? and a 312 B1, the latter I also have, but the 126 I cannot find.
Models come in different sizes and different prizes.
To only have to pay $50 for a 1/43 is Cheap, there are ones/many that demand multiples of this.
Just an indication of how spoilt we are, Just my oppinion.

Looking at the cost of that I shudder to think what the 1:18's of the Audi R8 are going to be worth! :(

I prefer not to think, it makes it easier when I hand over the folding stuff :D

Especially given Audi's attitude to licensing fees. That is the only reason you haven't seen a Tamiya kit of them apparently. Fee tripled as soon as they won their first Le Mans

Maisto did do Audi R8 models in 1/18 scale and the 2000 Adelaide model is very nice.
Even has lift off engine cover with a detailed engine and suspension layout.
