Yes thankyou to the BIANTE team it was pretty good except I agree with Oh Five about the PA System... I was only a few metres away from Trevor and was strugling to hear and when John Goss spoke I couldn't hear a thing :( Also didn't see too many people with their forum names on their tags??? Picked up a few BIANTE stickers :) and was great to see the 77 twin set and the Brock VR and Johnson car - these look FANTASTIC and can't wait to get them. I wish I had won a lucky door prize *sniff sniff* would have loved the Brock VR prototype...
Thanks again Trevor, Bev and Richard.

Thanks to everyone who came along to say hello. From all accounts it was a great event and was enjoyed by all.
I had the pleasure of roaming the top of the mountain, which was an experience, on Saturday afternoon for a few hours with Paul K (FoMoCo) and his friend Jim and then watched some of the race with Paul and some other collectors from Canberra at the chase on Sunday which was great. It was also really good to meet Paul (PDG666) and Jason (Donny05) a few times over the weekend.
John Goss was a late addition to the line up as he was at the track driving the medical chase car which is coordinated by his brother.
Thanks again to everyone that came along and we will see you all again next year.:D

Hey Richard, would it be possible for you post details of what happened at Bathurst for us unlucky one who couldn't get to the mountain over the past weekend ?
Also,
Have you though of holding a simular type event at other V8 rounds for 2003 (one at Phillip Island would be fantastic!!).
Cheers,
BRAD.
How about a trip to Pukekohe? Watch Murphy do some magic on his home track. I hear with all the fuel related problems of late, Murphy will run a special TWR K-Mart car running on Lpg!!
Dave from Kiwiland!!
Visited the V8 round over there last year....
Organised a number of driver signings in 2 of the model stores just prior to the race.
Time does not allow a visit this year, unfortunately.

Here is a pic I took of some items I saw in the HRT garage shortly after the race.
For members unable to make out get-together at Bathurst here is what happened.
Mark from Qld suggested we have a gathering, so we made a few calls and next thing we had the use of the Holden Merchandise Tent at close of business on Friday afternoon 5.30pm.
For all members who were there and responded they were invited to join us at this venue. Sorry for the timing being a bit off folks, the table we needed to spread out all the name tags was still being used at the driver appearance section with one P. Brock, who just never stops signing stuff!!!!!
We gathered down one end of the tent - trying to get away from the 'rock concert' in a nearby tent. Trevor ('admin') introduced Richard (website orders) and me ('contact us' - diecast@diecast..)to the collectors and he then proceeded to speak for most of the time. He announced that we had signed up new drivers for models i.e. Colin Bond and Bob Morris. We had questions from the floor plus John Goss, who popped in after driving his brother Dr. Michael Goss' meditrak car for the day (and the rest of the weekend), had a few words. Brockie was not far away but he thought Trevor was holding his own and moved onto another commitment.
There was also the unveiling of a special poster 'Biante hero' featuring Richard surrounded by a Commodore and Falcon plus logos of all the teams Biante sponsor. Richard did not know about this and had even helped us carry the posters to the venue!!!!! There should be a few of these left so if anyone wants them, we will let you know or you can email bev@diecast.net.au.
On entry collectors were issued with either red or blue tickets and during the proceedings we drew these from several appropriate team hats, kindly made available from the nearest person in the crowd. Prizes were prototypes of Johnson Greens-tuf (yet to be released model) and Brock/Mazera Commodore plus a wheel nut from Kmart car, signed by both drivers. Rob from Creative Options kindly made available some superb graphics of Ford and Holden items which were also included in the 'lucky flap' prizes. Another lucky collector left the evening with a HSV coupe model in raw parts - nearly 200 bits, so he should be quiet for some time as he figures out how to assemble it...just think if he was at the factory, he would only have another 5,999 to go when he is done with this one...
There was also chance at the end for collectors to talk with each other and say hello to us. It is really great to put names to faces and forum names were on name tags provided they were supplied to us.
We had collectors from EVERY state and territory in Australia plus a small contingent from New Zealand and several of our long time off-line members who are Australians working in Saudi Arabia.
Hope to see as many collectors as possible next time we have a gathering.
Happy collecting

I was one of the unlucky one's that didn't get to attend Bathurst and hence the gathering. Sounds like it was great and everyone got to put a face to a name and talk about what we all love. Motorsport and model cars.
By the sounds of it Biante ( Bev, Trevor & Richard ) also though it was successfull. Let's hope that they can continue, whether it be at Bathurst or other V8 venues. Hopefully I will be able to attend the next one.

i would also like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Biante. Not because of their latest efforts at Bathurst but in general.
They provide some of the best examples of Australian models, both in race trim and road trim. The staff who also work for Biante must be a very proud and close knit team. The level of service that they provide in not only ordering new products but general advise is to be commended !!
Also their web site is to be congratulated. You only have to look at the competitions web site to see how good this site really is !!!!
Keep it up boys (and gal - Bev). The sky is the limit !!
