WOW!! $17000 for 1:18 collection

Anybody seen this yet???

This rooster has put his entire 1:18 collection up for auction.
70 models including mega Biante Models (track white 1/900, all DJR's, lot's of Moff's etc.)

A lot of collectors in NZ would have seen this collection as most of it was on display in the owners shop in Taupo. I know both V8SS and I have seen it, and I'm guessing the guys bidding have seen it too. There are some good models there and many of them are mint-in-box. Despite this, $17,000 is still a lot of money, even in NZ pesos!

When converted to Aussie Dollars and removing the two $1000 models, it works out to $185AUD each on average...considering there are a whole lot more in there that can't be picked up for that price, its probably reasonable.

Wouldn't want to go much higher though.

It doesn't look like this ever sold even though it reached reserve as he has relisted it and put a comment saying that he wants genuine bidders only and if people want to play games, they should buy a set of Monopoly.
