Keep them in a perspex display case!

Try using a damp cloth to wipe off as much as possible. failing that you could always buy one of those mini vacuum cleaner things that you use on computer keyboards to remove the dust, but personally i would try that on something you dont really care about first to see the results. but realsitcally, if you can afford it, a proper display case will do the job just fine.

hope this helps.

The trick is to give them a quick once over once a week and not let the dust BUILD UP if you know what I mean. Compressed air gets into all the nitty gritty places you cant get a cloth into so thats probably the best way to do it.

Many years ago, my Mother bought me a Dust Pan & Brush specifically made for Diecast.

The Brush is quite similar to a Facial Scrub Brush used in Facials.

Soft pile Microfibre cloth, the type used for removing waxes and polishes works a treat.

The best tool to use for dusting models is a make up brush. They are very soft and can get into the hard to reach places and will not damage even the most fragile part of the models. Try and place your models into cabinets to keep them dust free. And yeah, I don't use the make up brush for anything else other than dusting model cars!

Trevor Young (Biante) also told me once that car polishes are good for polishing the model cars as most models are painted with auto paints. I have had to polish several models because the plastic straps that some 1/18 cars come with to hold the doors etc closed can leave marks in the paint work
