Hello all,
Maybe this is something admin or the team from Biante could answer??
I dont know if this has been raised before.....
Anyone thought of having a dedicated club for Biante collectors??
That is having paid members who receive a dedicated newletter with upcoming releases, member discounts and other related goodies?????
On a similar note, how about having semi regular meetings with Biante staff/collectors/members around the country????
The Bathurst experience must mean that allot of collectors want to meet and chat and there isnt simply enough opportunities to do this face to face???
Whats everyone think?
There is already a club of which you speak.
We pay to be in it and get the Books from the suppliers for our trouble.

Can you (or anyone else) provide me with more info???
We have been running the Biante Diecast Collectors Club since 1996. It was originally the Minichamps (Aust) Collectors Club.
It was started bc (before computers) to let members know of upcoming models via the catalogues and a quarterly newsletter.
Catalogues now not only include 3 Minichamps cats per year, but Autoart, Kyosho, Sunstar, ixo and whoever that we distribute for produces catalogues. There are no Australian catalogues of upcoming models as this line-up is very flexible and we just make the models. Members also receive our co. Christmas card and other bits and pieces we find in our travels. We have had collector dinners every year except 2001 when it was to be in Adelaide but there were not enough starters, so cancelled it.
These days most people use our on-line club as they receive 52 newsletters per year and there is no cost.
If you would like to join our off-line club, please go to 'find a model' 'subscriptions' and see 2002/03 membership. It is now reduced slightly until the new model year commences in April, 2003.
Newsletter October, 2002 is supposed to be under construction now, but as you can see there are other distractions, like 'wonder what's happening on the forums today....'

Hey Bev,
how about sharing some information regarding what Australian models (biante/autoart) are comming over the next 6 months ?
cheers.
Wrong person to ask here on that one...
apart from answering emails - cos everyone else is too busy doing their jobs - and paying all the company accounts, and other company admin, the first I hear of a model's arrival is the GST account arrives from the shipper to say the container ship is now in view of the port.
We would not know exact items for the next six months in our Australian range, as there are always new models happening, new drivers coming on stream, delays, etc., and the factory needs to slot us into their worldwide production. As for the worldwide ranges, we only go by the catalogues and advice received.
The newsletters keep you up to date with releases as they are about to happen and short of the ship sinking, or a wharf strike, that is as certain as we can be.
You are probably none the wiser, but that is the way it is.

Thanks for the answer Bev.
who is responsible for making up the lists for the collections, etc...
Maybe they could share some information on what is comming, as i'm sure someone knows what has been ordered.
I'm only asking so that i know to wait for the Biante/Autoart version, rather than buy a model of a particular car from another manafacturer, if i know its' comming.
just a thought.
cheers.
For the Brock, Johnson and Moffat collections they are posted on our site faq section at product information.

Thanks Bev,
When was the last time you looked at that list ?
I don't think that list has changed for over 12 months, other than to write the words released next to some of the models.
This is not a personal attack on you or Biante, but would it be possible to get the internet person at Biante to update that list for us collectors ?
cheers,
BRAD.
