Team Brock to the best of my knowledge currently have 2 racecars ( chassis ).

Can anyone tell me where these came from or were they built in house by Brock or Nash ?

Hoping that someone can help.

I saw at Canberra infront of team brocks merchandise truck another team brock V8 supercar with roll cages and all.
At Bathurst Caltex had a V8 supercar infront of the star mart so SBR should have used it in the race, they could have easilly withdrawn Wayne Gardner,go Simon Wills back from Team Kiwi and Team kiwi could have got contracted driver John Mccillroy who raced in the QLD 500 back to fill the spare seat.

SBR had to get approval first from the govening board first then the ok from all other race teams before they could even consider using another car. I am 99% sure the car that sit in front of the star mart is only a mock up of the race car. Same story with the DJR car.

Yes Team Brock have 2 cars. The black car is the RNR car which has been
raced most of the year and will be raced this weekend back in red colours.
The second is the old HYL car form a few years back. It was going to be
raced again at Bathurst before it was decided to focus on 05 instead.
It now is used as a spare and show car.

There will be a brand new VY for 2003 and
the RNR car may head to Konica with James???

ive actually got a whole cabinet (actually its the TRAX cabinet that they offer to collectors) full (around 50) with 1:64 models Fords and Holdens.

The Biante Minicars are the far more superior model !!!

too right loste,
these minicars are the best 1:64 models i've ever seen (they are also a lot better than the majority of 1:43 scale out there too!)
I too have all of the 1:64 V8 Supercars as well as the two hot wheels gp pace cars and the minicars make all of the others look rather bland and borring.

the CC versions are the worst. even my matchbox items are better then those.

the best matchbox have produced are the two castrol items but even those are still inferior to the minicars

i am still trying to justify paying $6.50 for the HW GP car but i didnt hesitate to pay the $12 for the minicars, the MB VR/VS cars are good models but nothing on the minicars. cant wait for the road minicars though.

All of these road minicars sound great but what about we 1/43 collectors? I started with 1/43 & have deliberately stuck with just the 1 scale for many reasons, not least space & diversity of collection. I love the Biante/Autoart product but at the moment a couple of other companies get the bulk of my business as they have a much greater range of ( in particular ) Australian models, both road & race. Personally, I can't see the point of having lots of AU Falcons & VT/VX Commodores, however good the paintjob, especially as the Fords never swapped over to the Series 2 & 3 XR nosecone, so they ALL look like Series 1's. I can see a trend emerging towards producing 1/18 & 1/64 versions first, with 1/43 lagging behind, eg the 05 Bathurst Commodore which is out in those 2 scales, but only "planned" in 1/43 so far. Tell you what, produce a 1/43 28C XU1, & I'll be FIRST in line.

i actually collect all the various scales. i have 1:18, 1:15, 1:24, 1:43 and last of all 1:64 holdens and Fords.

Display then properly and you will find that each scale complements the other.

Oh, and by the way for those of you wondering what the 1:15 scale is: its the two (2) HRT Remote control HRT Commodores. Never used, still in boxes.......

Steve, its hard to make the 05 Bathurst car until the race is run. The 1:18 and 1:64 were promos, the 1:43 will be the race car. It is now in planning for a December release, along with the 2002 winner, and the 6 VX race cars.
The 1:43 Falcons are out with just DJR and BJR due on the 1st November. They are proper 2002 cars, with all the upgraded components. The day I paint or print over bits on a 2001 car to make it look like a 2002 car, I will retire.
Tooling for EB/EL and VR/VS is finished. Option 97 Cobra is in production, as are various HSV cars. The new Falcon car and Ute and VY SS car and Ute should be out by end December.
Drawings of Test BA race car will be at the factory on Thursday, so that may also just scrape in to 2002.
These are all 1:43rds.
Others have been going for a while, but we will make the best and that always takes a little longer.
Hope that helps a bit!!
OH!! And if you collect all 1:43rds, we supply nearly 1200 different models types to the shops in Aust and NZ each year.

LT, take your point, but I don't HAVE space to display properly. I'm competing with 2 small boys & a newborn daughter for space & have only 2 shelves to work with. What I love about 1/43 is that I can walk into 4 or 5 shops here ( or webshop ) & buy anything from a Mk.2 Cortina ( my first car ) to a Mini-Moke, all quite affordably. My next purchase will be, of all things, an Austin A60, as Lledo have one that's nearly identical to the first Family Car that I remember.

Finally, some news on what is comming over the next 6 months. Now how hard was that ?
An honest answer to the very question that has been asked numerious times on the forum - what is comming soon?
With that line up it looks like some interesting models are on the way.
Now i wonder if the EB/EL models will also have some road versions in 1:43 scale as well as the GT & race versions ?

Thanks Admin, that helps a lot, one thing I didn't say was that I have a couple of V8 Supercars, but was now going to wait for the BA & VY versions so that I DONT have multiple versions of the same model.

Its not a case of honest answers...we do not give any dishonest info on our site...its just that we will devulge information when we have all the loose ends locked up.
You see what happens when we try to help and put up pictures of prototypes. There are just some things that are best left until ready.
The EB/EL etc have actually been tooled as road cars primarily with race car bits to follow.

as a collector id luv to know whats coming out so i can plan accordingly however i can see from a business perspective it makes sense to keep new products (or future plans) as secret as possible.

we all know who fierce the competition is.

Thanks again admin, purely for your info. I once asked another Maker if they were going to make any more Toranas & was told categorically "No". Since then, they've released THREE!

Perhaps my wording was not quite correct.
I did not mean to infere that dishonest information had been placed by biante.
Rather, that for many months there has been many repeated requests for information by many, many people on this forum to which had gone unanswered and it was good to see some news of what is not far around the corner.
I know that you can't devolge things for various reasons and i was just saying how good it was to hear the news of some new models that arn't AU's or XY's.
By the way are you going to make a Bermuda Green EL GLi Sedan ? as i would love a model of my own car.
cheers

You wouldn't know which HYL car is now owned by Team Brock ?

The car that Team Brock are using as the show car is
infact the old RNR AutoPro machine which was loaned
to the Romano HYL program until he got a "proper"
HYL car. Sorry if there was any confusion.
